Tapper Calls Out Trump’s RT Showing Mueller in Jail: This Isn’t ‘Your Uncle at Thanksgiving,’ It’s the President!

On CNN’s The Lead this afternoon, Jake Tapper took a moment to just deal with the “insanity” of an official retweet by the President of the United States.

President Donald Trump is apparently back to retweeting fan memes, including… well, this:

Yes, on Wednesday the President shared a meme showing former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Robert Mueller, Eric Holder, his own deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, and others behind bars for “treason.”

“That’s an official White House statement!” Tapper exclaimed on CNN. “This isn’t some crazy thing from your uncle at Thanksgiving, this is from the President of the United States!”

Symone Sanders said it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Trump is a rampant conspiracy theorist. Amanda Carpenter was more exasperated than outraged at Trump going back to this well.
