‘Where?’ Fox News Host Skeptical When Trump Spox Alina Habba Claims ‘There Are Babies Floating in the Water’

Alina Habba dubiously claimed on Fox News that babies are “floating in the water” in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

The spokesperson for former President Donald Trump appeared on Tuesday’s episode of The Story, where she slammed the Biden administration’s response to Hurricane Helene, which devastated parts of the southeast U.S. Trump has made a series of false claims about the relief efforts, including one about migrants receiving hurricane aid money instead of those impacted by the storm.

As Habba spoke on Fox News, the chyron read, “Trump campaign: Time to help, not politicize.”

“And western Carolina got hit really hard,” she said. “These are real people with real issues. They don’t need a $750 handout for a press headline. They need help. They need water. There are still people missing. There are babies floating in the water, and [the Harris campaign is] on podcasts? That’s what the Harris team is doing.”

Host Martha MacCallum interrupted to press Habba on her floating babies claim.

“Where did you see that report of a baby floating in the water?” she asked.

“We have absolutely heard there are children floating,” Habba said, seemingly not anticipating the question. “There’s missing bodies, dead bodies. We know that. There are dead people. We’re up to two hundred and–”

“Thirty-two,” the host said.

“Yeah, thank you,” Habba responded before praising Trump.”

There appears to be no basis for Habba’s claim.
