‘You Have to Make A Correction’: Joy Behar Calls Out Ana Navarro Over Aaron Rodgers Sandy Hook Conspiracy Theory Allegations
Joy Behar and Ana Navarro clashed over the recent report that NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers floated conspiracy theories regarding the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
Earlier this week, CNN’s Jake Tapper and Pamela Brown reported that Rodgers shared conspiracy theories suggesting that the Sandy Hook massacre was not real. Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has promoted this hoax in the past, and now has several massive civil verdicts against him for defaming the victims’ families.
Rodgers responded to the report, claiming on social media that he has “never been of the opinion that the events did not take place.”
During a discussion on Rodgers potentially joining Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on a presidential ticket on Friday’s episode of The View, Navarro slammed the football player over the recent scandal. However, Behar briefly defended Rodgers and claimed Navarro may need to correct her statements.
NAVARRO: The only thing that could make RFK and RFK ticket worse and more kooky is adding Aaron Rodgers to the mix. Right? This is a man who CNN has reported — Pamela Brown from CNN had conversations with him — this man has said that Sandy hook was fake. He has said that the children that died —
BEHAR: No that’s not exactly true. You have to make a correction. He knows it happened.
NAVARRO: He said it. And now he’s now he’s denying it. But Pamela Brown had a conversation with him when she was covering the Kentucky Derby, where he told her that it was that it was an inside job, that the media was covering up for it. You know, there’s other sources that have said that he said that the children were actors and that the parents were actors. He’s now changing his tune, but this is the stuff he has said. I can’t think of anything more hurtful.
