‘You Were Thrown Under the Bus!’ Steve Doocy Confronts Vivek Ramaswamy On Trump Attacks
Steve Doocy confronted GOP hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy about recent political attacks he’s received from former President Donald Trump, insisting he’s been “thrown under the bus!”
At issue are Trump’s flat-out attacks on Ramswamy, which started rather tame for the 45th president but ratcheted up recently to complain that a vote for Ramaswamy was a “WASTED VOTE.”
“Why do you think former President Trump threw you under the bus over the weekend?” Doocy asked with a grin.
“Well, I didn’t get thrown anywhere, but I think there might have been an attempt to do that,” Ramaswamy replied.
“You were under the bus!” Doocy exasperated in a humorous manner. “And the bus had snow tires on it!”
To Ramaswamy’s credit, he did not take the bait, insisting that he “took it in a light-hearted way” before touting all the reasons he expects a “massive surge” in support at Monday evening’s Iowa Caucus, even citing the support of former Congressman, and noted White Supremacy defender, Steve King.
The Fox & Friends co-host has been a vocal critic of Ramaswamy’s debate performance on Fox & Friends in the past, on one occasion calling his on-stage behavior “an embarrassment” and on another noting he had a terrible night. None of that came up in an interview at Fox News Des Moines studio, where Doocy was co-hosting on the day of the Iowa Caucus, the first GOP primary event of the 2024 campaign.
