Report: Comey Inadvertently Contributed to McCabe’s Firing After Launching The Probe Into His Leak

Former FBI Director James Comey reportedly had a role in the firing of former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe last month.
According to a new report from The Daily Beast, a source familiar with the investigation that led to the ousting of McCabe alleged that Comey was the one that pushed for the investigation in the first place. Comey asked the bureau’s internal Inspection Division to look into the leak that was published in the Wall Street Journal in October 2016 regarding an ongoing criminal probe of The Clinton Foundation. And when that investigation began suspecting McCabe as the culprit, it was handed off to the DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
Last week, Horowitz released a report that concluded that along with the leak, McCabe “lacked candor” several times including under oath and to FBI investigators. Attorney General Jeff Sessions cited the Inspector General’s findings when he fired McCabe in January.
President Trump blasted McCabe in the wake of the release of the IG report.
DOJ just issued the McCabe report – which is a total disaster. He LIED! LIED! LIED! McCabe was totally controlled by Comey – McCabe is Comey!! No collusion, all made up by this den of thieves and lowlifes!

Meanwhile, Comey defended his number-two man at the FBI after he was fired, tweeting McCabe “served with distinction.”
Special Agent Andrew McCabe stood tall over the last 8 months, when small people were trying to tear down an institution we all depend on. He served with distinction for two decades. I wish Andy well. I also wish continued strength for the rest of the FBI. America needs you.

Comey has yet to comment on the Inspector General’s findings regarding McCabe since launching his book tour.
