Fox and Friends Asks: Mosque Near Ground Zero “Great Idea Or Great Insult?”

video

Plans to build a mosque two blocks away from “Ground Zero” in lower Manhattan have started a fierce debate and opened some some emotional wounds from the terror attacks on September 11, 2001. The subject came up on Fox and Friends today, and a spirited, yet civil, discussion ensued between a New York Firefighter Tim Brown (who was a first responder at the World Trade Center) and Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the founder of the Cordoba Institute which presented the plans. Watch the clip and take a poll – after the jump.

    Another terrorist headquarters, perfect.

  • The Real Royal King

Only in the perverse, twisted minds of the Gretch, Douchey and Jeff Merrill could a place of worship be deemed an insult.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

More pesky freedoms getting in the way of teabaggers and right wing scum.

  • writer

No more so than the American flag being an insult to Cinco de Mayo, eh, BFD?

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

“No more so than the American flag being an insult to Cinco de Mayo, eh, BFD?’

Haha…never said that. As a matter a fact i said the kids shouldn’t be punished.

I did say that 5 close friends planning on wearing American flag apparel specifically on Cico de Mayo was a coordinated troll, but you are too stupid to see it.

  • writer

No, you just said they had a right to be douche bags. But I understand, BFD. Being a good left winger, you never met a minority behind you didn’t want to kiss.

  • TylerDurden

Colby Hall- just another liberal apologist.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

You see, that’s the difference between you and me, writer. I can see both sides of an issue and admit it.
I think the school was wrong to punish the kids, I think the Hispanics were over sensitive, and I think the 5 kids were purposely instigating controversy.

You on the other hand must insist that your side is right about everything always. You’re self-worth depends on it.
It’s what makes you an ass.

Contessa Brewer on the Time Square bomber:

BREWER: I mean the thing is is that and I get frustrated and there was part of me that was hoping this was not going to be anybody with ties to any kind of Islamic country because there are a lot of people who want to use this terrorist intent to justify writing off people who believe in a certain way or come from certain countries or whose skin color is a certain way. ”

Yes, Contessa, there does seem to be a lot of people who want to “justify writing off people who believe in a certain way” as either terrorists or racists. Your network employs more than a few.

And you must always call names,

And you, BFD, can seldom post without calling names. I don’t think I’m always right. Just wanted to deal with you on your level.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

    Nice post,TD.
This thread topic exactly proves her point. More crazy Muslim bombers means more intolerant Americans want to take away the freedoms of good Muslims, like where they can build their mosques.

Looks like she was spot on.

  • The Real Royal King

    writer says:

    I don’t think I’m always right.

Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah!

Michelle doesn’t think she’s always right, either.

Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah! Hah!

To be fair, take a poll of those who lost loved ones in the towers.

  • writer

And neither do you, King. LOL

You are an ahole. It proves that ALL bombers trying to attack the USA have been Muslims.

    Too bad for you lib!

  • TylerDurden

I loved all the libs hoping that the TS bomber was white.

But he was yet another Muslim!

    haahahahahahahahahha

  • TylerDurden

    BFD and the King!

    He was predictable a Muslim!

    LMAO

  • writer

As long as a person isn’t white, the left has unbounded sympathy. Tell ‘em about that yoke of oppression, King. Let BFD help you.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

“To be fair, take a poll of those who lost loved ones in the towers.”

I heard there is a sushi restaurant near Pearl Harbor.
Can we poll people to get that removed too? kthx

  • TylerDurden

All the libs want the terrorists to be white but the Muslims won’t cooperate with the sympathetic libs who believe this country needs to be bombed because it is soooooooooooooo evil.

    hahaha.

    Libs, you lose every time!

  • writer

Okay, we’ll wait sixty years to take the poll on whether the Mosque is allowed.

  • ex political-media hack

obviously this choice is a pr stunt and a bad idea.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

“Okay, we’ll wait sixty years to take the poll on whether the Mosque is allowed.”

Is that the teabagger statute of limitations on freedom for non-whites, 60 years?

  • writer

You referred to a Japanese restaurant near Pearl Harbor. It’s been over sixty years since WWII. So if you want to compare the two situations, I was suggesting more of a cooling off period would be required. It was your comparison.

  • TylerDurden

BFD- the TS bomber was a Muslim!

    LMAO!

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

“I was suggesting more of a cooling off period would be required.”

    Good idea.

    Let’s make a list….

1 year before a Muslim can drive by Ground Zero

2 years before a Muslim can walk by Ground Zero

5 years before a Muslim can buy an ice cream cone by Ground Zero

10 years before a Muslim can send his kid to school near Ground Zero

60 years before Muslims can build a Mosque near Ground Zero.

That should be a good enough cooling off period.

  • writer

Plus, BFD, radical Muslims continue to attack us. After WWII, the Japanese quit doing it.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

“BFD- the TS bomber was a Muslim!

    LMAO!”

    Shitty troll is shitty.

  • TylerDurden

BFD, that Muslim wanted to kill you too.

    hahahahaha

  • TylerDurden

Oh, and BFD- the TS bomber was a Muslim!

    LOL

  • writer

If a good portion of the Japanese were still attacking us today, and the others were standing by and not saying a word about it, maybe there would be complaints about that sushi shop, BFD. Why no mention of Muslims not condemning the radicals among them?

  • TylerDurden

And BFD- most of the Muslims who committed 9/11 were college grads so don’t start with your worn out, tired liberal excuses about radical Muslims being poor uneducated shills for the real terrorists.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

Haha…crazy Tyler is having an internal argument with himself.

  • blueblogger

So do all of you Republicans hate ALL Muslims?????

  • writer

Just be honest, BFD. Most Muslims aren’t white, and in the politically correct world of the far leftie, that means anything they do must be excused or explained away. Evil only exists in the American white community.

  • TylerDurden

    LOL

I was just taking away your next foolish excuse for Muslims terrorists.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

Jesus Christ, writer. I know you lost the argument and I feel bad for you but do you really have to fall back on such asinine and ridiculous sweeping generalizations.

    My job is done here.

  • writer

Oh, I lost because you say I did. I see. Thanks for your asinine sushi restaurant comparison.

  • TylerDurden

BFD: “My job is done here.”

    LOL

You have no job, you pay no taxes and have nothing but your basement and your corkscrewed toenails to tap out your responses.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

“Oh, I lost because you say I did”

You lost because of your previous outrageous and desperate post.

“the far leftie…….. Evil only exists in the American white community.”

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • TylerDurden

BFD, the Muslim terrorists want ya!

    tee, hee.

  • writer

But BFD, all your posts indicate you are a far leftie, and you only complain about wrongdoing when it’s coming from white people. Bwaaahaaaahaaaahaaaa!

  • blueblogger

I am a “real” lefty and I don’t LOVE Muslim terrorists. I might not like any REPUGS though. Just saying

ALL libbys love Muslim terrorists .

  • writer

The thing is, while worrying that Muslims might be offended if a Mosque isn’t allowed at ground zero, the left never considers how the people who lost loved ones in the towers might feel. Why does the left’s consideration of people’s feelings only extend to the Muslims?

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

We really don’t let victims families decide what is fair in this country.

    That’s not justice, that’s vengeance.

  • Teabagger

Look how cute you guys are, setting aside peoples rights and freedoms for peoples feelings…

  • TEXICAN

Mosque near ground zero? That’s a terrible idea…let’s stop this madness…while we’re at it, let’s remove those churches, as well.

  • nunspa

I rather let people open what they want and show who they are later…..

now if it ends up being a peacful mosque.. all the power to them and may their god bless them.. and let them be a shining example for the world..

but if they cross the line..and use their location to push hate.. smack them down.. HARD.. and mean.. HARD

  • writer

So, the victims’ families should have no say in it whatsoever. The main thing is not to offend any Muslims.

  • Big_F-ing_Deal

“The main thing is not to offend any Muslims.”

The main thing is not to infringe on the right’s and freedoms of all Americans, equally, under the law.

  • writer

I’m sure there are no other sites where a mosque could be built. It has to be there. You’re right, BFD. Screw what the victims’ families might think.

  • Sunnyr

Which Leftist, Muslim-loving Terrorist Apologizing Nutwad approved of this atrocity?

  • writer

Sunnyr, see the post above mine to get some idea.

  • TylerDurden

BFD- the TS bomber is still a Muslim!

    LOL

  • Helix

It all goes back to 9/11, and the emotions surrounding that. Let the Muslims show some sensitivity for once to the culture that they are living in and build their mosque elsewhere. New York has plenty of room. Building a mosque ithere is just asking for trouble. Let the memorial to 9/11 be finished also, with a suitable place for the museum, and with an honest and accurate account of what happened on that terrible day, for those too young to remember.

  • Teabagger

How about Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, Oreilly, Palin, Murdaoch, and Alies give back some of the money that they’ve swindled from the American people and buy the building?

And I’m talking about them starting a fund raiser, I’m talking about it all coming out of THEIR pockets.

And this is only if any have a problem with it, which is kind of par for the course.

  • Teabagger

I’m NOT talking about a fund raiser.

  • Integr8d

Let them build the mosque and then reap the rewards or suffer the consequences. I just hope they’ve thought it through.

Considering some peoples worries, wouldn’t a mosque (Islamic community center) be the safest thing for the area?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Saeed-Alvi/1487970161 Saeed Alvi

Why build a mosque? Why not a good school or a hspital for everyone. Muslims in USA should not have thought of this kind of a plan that has potential of hurting the people around even though it was not Islam responsible but a few stupid and obscurantist lunatics who perpetrated crime against humanity and a country that accepted them as one of them. May God help these investers in understanding the real need of people (muslims included) – not worship places but service places for humanity. To say prayers you do not necessarily need a mosque and can do so anywhere. Please spend this money on the uplift of the poor of the world and serve Islam better.

A mosque has absolutely no business being anywhere near Ground Zero. That is just plainly how it is. I’m not anti-Muslim. I think everyone deserves a place to worship, but what does a Mosque symbolize for the people of America? It’s a giant slap in the face. We can’t help it that the 9/11 bombers WERE Muslim, hence a mosque reminds us of 9/11 .. because Muslim being the key word. Plus most of the terror attacks have been by Muslim extremist since then too! Don’t take this as bashing, I have the highest respect for others and their religions and I do believe they need a place to worship. However, there are 100 million other places a mosque could be built. It is my believe that the site was picked intentionally because of where it is. The Muslim American Society, the American chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood are the ones putting up the Mosque, a group that is known for their Muslim extremism and dare I say terrorism? Just something to think about.

How stupid are you? You are obviously a Teabaggie not a Teabagger! Oooo or else you must be one of the liberals who infiltrated the tea parties! w00t! Teabaggers are Republicans, all the people you just mentioned are Republicans. You are so obviously NOT a Republican.

Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, O’Reilly, Palin, Murdaoch, and Alies are some of the greatest thinkings of our time. The evils of the world are not lost on them. They know what the hell they are talking about. They are truly some of the most brilliant people you will witness in your lifetime.

No, the real problem in this country is the Democrats, and not even all of them!! First they force through a healthcare bill that no one wants saying they did it for the people and then have the nerve to compare themselves to the Civil Rights Movement. Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. and all those who fought for their Civil Rights are truly heroes, they deserve a place in the history books they earned equal rights for all.. all the Democrats succeeded in doing is widening the gap of this country.

Oh and I can guarantee you that if McCain and Palin had won the election that the Mexican president would not be on our own soil bad mouthing us. Hell Bill Clinton wouldn’t have allowed that when he was president and he’s a Democrat!! The realm problem is that our President is a liberal and he has friends who were terrorists. That Congress is tainted by his liberal thinking, and they royally fucked themselves come November.

Oh, might I add that Muslims who are bitching about being discriminated against in America should go back to their own damn country. Where women are beaten on a daily basis and nothing is done about it and where if you say the wrong thing to the wrong person you could end up dead. At least you have freedom. Freedom that MY forefathers earned for their future generations. Not a bunch of Muslim and Mexicans. That said, I am all about immigration, this country was built on immigration, our diversity is what makes us wonderful and the same melting pot we’ve always been. However there are legal ways to enter the country.
