Fox News Drops Ben Carson Ahead of His 2016 Teaser Ad

Dr. Ben Carson is probably going to run for president, if the upcoming 40-minute infomercial introducing himself to America is any indication. And as a result, Fox News has officially dropped Carson as a contributor.

A Fox spokesperson told The Washington Post‘s Erik Wemple that they’re cutting ties to Carson, in the same way they had to suspend Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum back in 2011 when they were close to declaring presidential runs.

Carson has indicated a number of times he’s interested in running for president, even with questions about whether he would just be too inexperienced for the job.
