GOP State Sen. Proposes Gun Rights Bill Just to Troll Piers Morgan

Anyone with a passing familiarity of CNN’s Piers Morgan knows he is quite possibly the biggest gun control advocate on cable news today, so it’s no accident a Republican state senator in Oklahoma is pushing a bill to relax gun restrictions under the name “Piers Morgan Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms Without Infringement Act.” If that isn’t some pretty big political trolling, I don’t know what is.

State senator Nathan Dahm decided to add a little flair to his proposal to revoke the requirement for all gun owners to obtain a gun license, and this is what happened.

State Sen. Nathan Dahm filed Senate Bill 1473, or what he calls the “Piers Morgan Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms Without Infringement Act”.

The bill proposes to allow citizens over the age of 18 to open carry loaded or unloaded guns without a license for hunting and target shooting. The bill would also cover military or law enforcement functions; for practice or performance for entertainment purposes; or for lawful self-defense purposes.

Needless to say, Morgan isn’t too thrilled about the news.
