‘He’s Pretty Much Done For’: Rand Paul Slams Cruz for Senate Name-Calling

Rand Paul had some pretty harsh words today for his Senate ally and campaign rival Ted Cruz, saying “he’s pretty much done for” legislatively.

Paul spoke with Brian Kilmeade on Fox News Radio today and was asked about Cruz’s effort yesterday to get Planned Parenthood out of a government funding bill. His effort to get a roll call vote was shut down by fellow Republicans.

Paul said this is because Cruz has made things too personal in calling other Republicans “liars” or “dishonest,” saying, “He’s pretty much done for.”

Paul believes that his fellow senator is going against Senate rules of decorum and in “a democratic republic, you have to woo people, you can’t hit them over the head.”
