John McCain Cuts Trip To Latin America Short To Attend Memorial Of Arizona Shooting Victims

Senator John McCain is cutting his congressional fact-finding trip across Latin America short in order to attend a memorial service for those killed in the Tuscon, Arizona shooting that occurred this past weekend, Fox News is reporting.

McCain – along with his wife, Cindy McCain – are planning to attend a service to be held on the University of Arizona campus. Democratic Rep. Raul Grijalva, also of Arizona, has planned to attend tomorrow’s service as well, as will President Barack Obama.

The senior senator left to Latin America last Friday, with plans to stop in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Panama throughout the week.

After the shooting, which left Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords with a gunshot wound to the head, McCain sternly denounced the shooter, saying:

Whoever did this, whatever their reason, they are a disgrace to Arizona, this country and the human race, and they deserve and will receive the contempt of all decent people and the strongest punishment of the law.

I’ll bet, Juarez, was not on the agenda. Does anyone know what RINO-McCain was doing in Latin America? Did he run out of issues in the U.S. and Arizona? Will somebody please point him in the direction of our southern borders, there’s stuff going on down there!!
