Rand Paul: If Hillary Had Worked in Her Husband’s WH, He Would Have Fired Her

Rand Paul is clearly getting a kick out of going after Hillary Clinton. At a Dallas Republican event today, Paul did it again, this time taking a shot at Hillary in contrast with her husband, suggesting she would have been fired had she been in the Bill Clinton cabinet.

According to CNN, Paul invoked Benghazi to question Clinton’s fitness for the White House after the events almost two years ago in Benghazi. He riled up the crowd when he asked, “Is Hillary Clinton fit to be commander in chief?”

Paul brought up the deaths of 18 military members in Mogadishu at the hands of militiamen in 1993, under the Clinton administration. Months later, Defense Secretary Les Aspin resigned, after reportedly denying requests for more security. Paul used this to contrast Clinton’s handling of such tragedy with President Obama‘s.

“[Aspin] ignored the request and he resigned ultimately in disgrace,” Paul said. “I think had Hillary Clinton worked for Bill Clinton, she’d probably have been fired.”

Ouch.
