Rupert Murdoch’s Opening Statement: ‘This Is The Most Humble Day Of My Life’

News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch and his son James are currently testifying to the British Parliamentary Committee of culture, media and sport. As the proceedings began, James Murdoch made an opening statement expressing earnest contrition over the phone hacking scandal and alleged corruption that has embroiled the entire News Corp. media conglomerate. Shortly after the opening statement, Murdoch the senior interrupted to aver once simple sentence, “this is the most humble day of my life.”
