The View Ladies Ignore Whoopi’s Emotional Speech on Racism to Play Funny Video
Today on the View, Fox News analyst Jedediah Bila was one of the guest hosts and she explained to the other assembled panelists that a person who is a strong, constitutional conservative might be more interested in staying home than going out to vote this year.
Whoopi Goldberg was just not interested in that.
“Spoken like a true…” she trailed.
She restarted, giving an impassioned speech about the duty of all citizens to oppose racism in any form, which meant not staying home and instead, going out and voting against Donald Trump. Her speech was met with applause from the audience.
“I bring this up because sometimes you get so overwhelmed with what you’re going through,” she said emotionally, presumably referencing issues that white people prioritize above abolishing systemic racism in America. “That stuff happens. Don’t you think so, Joy?”
Joy Behar bafflingly responded by saying what sounded like, “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” before playing a funny clip of Ted Cruz accidentally bonking his wife in the face during the announcement that he was suspending his presidential campaign.
“He is the biggest klutz!” quipped Behar.
That was uncomfortable, to say the least. Maybe it shouldn’t come as any surprise that there have been rumors about Goldberg leaving the View.
