Whoops: 9/11 Dedication Almost Played a ‘Bridge’ Song After Chris Christie

Time for some setlist problems at the 9/11 Museum Dedication.

The service’s original program Thursday morning had New Jersey Governor Chris Christie followed by a rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Idina “Adele Dazeem” Menzel. That might have been a bit awkward on account of certain footnotes.

Menzel backed out at the last moment due to illness and was replaced by Broadway singer and 9/11 widow LaChanze, who fairly knocked “Amazing Grace” out of the park. A museum spokesperson said the change had nothing to do with Christie.

Meanwhile, how did nobody consider this?
