Rick Perry Tells Parade Mag ‘I Don’t Have Any Idea’ If President Obama’s Birth Certificate Is Real

Just when you thought it was safe to take Orly Taitz off of your producer’s speed-dial, Texas Gov. and struggling Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry throws a “Birther” Hail Orly in a Parade Magazine interview. Months after President Obama crushed then-GOP frontrunner Donald Trump by producing his long-form birth certificate and Osama bin Laden‘s long-form corpse, Perry told Parade that he had no idea if the document was real, and that he hopes to secure The Donald’s endorsement.

Perry’s thinking on the matter appears to have been influenced by a recent dinner with Trump. Here’s what he told Parade:

Governor, do you believe that President Barack Obama was born in the United States?

I have no reason to think otherwise.

That’s not a definitive, “Yes, I believe he”—

Well, I don’t have a definitive answer, because he’s never seen my birth certificate.

But you’ve seen his.

I don’t know. Have I?

You don’t believe what’s been released?

I don’t know. I had dinner with Donald Trump the other night.

And?

That came up.

And he said?

He doesn’t think it’s real.

And you said?

I don’t have any idea. It doesn’t matter. He’s the President of the United States. He’s elected. It’s a distractive issue.

Elsewhere in the interview, asked if he thinks Trump will endorse his candidacy, Perry said, “You’ll have to ask him, but I’d certainly like to have the Donald’s support. He is a job-creating machine, and that’s what I’m all about.”

In September, ThinkProgress reported that Perry encountered “Birther Queen” Orly Taitz at a campaign event, and according to Taitz, Perry was sympathetic to her cause. While observers familiar with Taitz might not have given her account much weight at the time, Perry’s remarks to Parade certainly cast that encounter in a different light.

Trump’s run at the top of the polls was a serious embarrassment for Republicans, and bringing back the Birther issue, especially now that the President has laid the issue to rest in the minds of sane people, could become a similar embarrassment to the current GOP field. If Perry gets some traction behind this, look for everybody but Mitt to take another run at this thing.

And he also said “I don’t have any idea. It doesn’t matter. He’s the President of the United States. He’s elected. It’s a distractive issue.”

Guess that’s not good enough, eh?

Hey, but while we’re on the topic, maybe Tommy can show his journalism chops for once and try to find the college and law school transcripts. A lot of conservatives such as myself never gave a rip about the birth certificate. But we were awfully interested in seeing the grades of the most nuanced, cerebral, most intellectual President of our time.

After all, our betters have told us this now for four years. But we’d kind of like to confirm our own suspicions for ourselves.

Perhaps y’all will get around to asking for those this year?

What say you, Tommy old chap? Feel like doing some basic journalism this time around?

  • Bob

Truly pathetic This all the right has at this point – pandering to delusional racist rednecks. I wonder if Trump and Perry had this chat over a dinner at Camp N—–head.

  • Jon B

Rick Perry is simply Sarah Palin in a suit, not worthy to be on the national stage!!!

  • http://twitter.com/MissConservaGal MissConservaGal

Corpseman in 57 states says what, Jon.

Be careful of the standard you set.

Looks as if the only people truly interested in the birth certificate story are Parade Magazine & Tommy Christopher.  You’re gonna have to do better than this libs.  Racist!  Birther!  Doesn’t work anymore.  Everybody knows your Alinsky tactics.  You can’t distract from the fact that The One has been a complete & utter failure as POTUS.  It sucks, for all of us.  But, dems da facts.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_WH3ZLMM7CUKUHUIMK4TKXW6SQE John

Another example of the left wing media trying to make a story out of nothing.  It’s disgusting.

  • Anonymous

Why are Republicans so stupid?  What makes them do things like this?  Why would a Republican presidential candidate have dinner with Donald Trump after all of the embarrassment he brought to Republican presidential politics?  It’s just fascinating.

  • Jayamerican1

Are you kidding…asking this team Obama cheerleader to write a balanced column. He is an Obama apologist, constantly running interference for this failed administration and trying to distract from what really matters..Obama’s failed policies. He can follow the administration’s lead and look to place the blame on any and everybody they can. Accuse elected republicans of being obstructionists for holding to the beliefs they ran on and were elected because of. Progressives just cannot fathom that their inate beliefs and ideals are not shared by everyone in this country. On the contrary, they are a very small minority. Most people recognize that progressivism is a thinly veiled form of socialism/communism..take your pick. And most people recognize that human nature being what it is prevents this from being a successful form of government.

  • joe

you wonder when even conservatives just say -STOP IT–OK–STOP–and admit their party has gone off the rails to really really stupidville..
i mean really—how much crap do you have to stand in before you admit–something does not smell right????

  • Jon B

    Silly

  • Mms1516

we cant talk about ANYTHING regards Obama

we MUST all talk about RACIST ROCKS of 30 yrs ago

and Rubio’s parents coming to the US 55 yrs ago

    Makes sense, doesnt it?

  • Anonymous

why are liberals so obsessed with proving where the president was born?

  • joe

    uh–what?
i think all we have done for the last 3 years was say how stupid the cons were–
    we had the birth certificate–
but i guess this was not a serious question–
you are just pulling the consvervative 2 step–
you spend months and years doing really stupid things and then when proved stupid–
you ask ‘liberals’ what was all of the fuss..
i just wonder why cons are so obessed with being stupid—

  • Anonymous

    Rick Perry…the latest Carnival barker…..

  • Anonymous

Actually, the only well known person that could remotely be labeled a conservative who ever talked about the POTUS’ birth certificate was Donald Trump.  Before he came along, the only people anyone had ever heard of that talked about the POTUS’ place of birth were the wingnuts at MSNBC.

  • Anonymous

really, who brought up the subject, perry…..no, it was parade magazine

  • Lizton

Rick Perry is really running for Mayor of Planet Wingnuttia. lol

  • joe

sometimes you just want to know if someone is honest enough to tell the truth, has the courage enough to admit or stupid enough to deny it…
and that means you have to ask an obvious question that no reasonable person would deny..
ie was Obama born in the USA

again–a conservative hero faild the basic honesty/common sense test–again~

  • Anonymous

really joe, you think that is the motive is asking the question? wow you are naive.    and by the way i am not a birther, i believe the president was born in the US. then again i did not witness it so , i have no proof

  • Tim Tebow

He does have the idea that there’s an old man in outer space with a long white beard, though!

Faith over facts: your bigoted GOP!

  • Mencius

No, actually it’s not good enough. If Obama was secretly a Kenyan, then the CIA, FBI and all the career bureaucrats in the DOJ would have to be in on the secret plan. What’s more, certainly the intelligence agencies of China or Russia or Iran would’ve figured it out by now too. So why would thousands of people be keeping this huge secret? Here’s a guess: there is no secret. The birth certificate issue is just code word for “other.” Righties can cry “race card” all they want to, but there is no good reason why this is an ongoing issue except racial bias or bizarre fringe lunacy. Before Obama released the long-form, journalists from major networks were allowed to see the short-form, and the Republican governor of Hawaii said the certificate was legit. I guess the Republicans could be in on this too, along with the “lamestream” media that actually fact checks before reporting.

Why didn’t anyone ask McCain for his certificate, considering he was born in Panama? That’s a question that’s never answered. The birthers have been willing to take the word of an Israeli dentist who has had every single lawsuit thrown out by judges over the vetting process of the United States government. Why? Beyond that, if you accept the crazy notion that he was born in Kenya, then what would it matter? He’d still be an American who happened to have been born in another country, like McCain. But, mysteriously, the Right never brings that up.

If a major GOP candidate has made a decision to pander to the racists and crazies in his party, then it’s a legitimate issue to discuss. It’s not up for debate. Obama is an American. Perry knows that. But he’s pretending it’s an open question to attract birthers to his camp.

  • Mencius

Should we compare the verbal gaffes of Obama and Bush? Or Obama and Bush I? Or Obama and Reagan? Because I have a feeling the GOPers might not end up looking so smart if we listed them side by side.

  • joe

uh—you have the state issued birth certificate????
    like ALL OF US DO???
so i guess all who have a ‘birth certificate’ are now suspect?
just the fact that you write what you write–show the shallow intellect of the right..

but i will bet you think god hates gays and jesus is God who created the moon and stars huh?
    were you there for that?
i think you people should really take a real hard close look at what you believe and ask yourself, “am i capable of being honest withmyself?”–
or more importantly–”is truth more important that ideolgy?”

but i already know the answer–and I do not even have to know you…

The typical lefty Alinsky tactics ain’t gonna work this time.  No matter how often you talk about non-existent birthers or call everybody a racist, it won’t distract enough from the fact that Obama has been a complete and utter failure.  It won’t distract from the fact that he’s a child-like figure.

  • Anonymous

Sorry Tommy X- your article is slanted.  What Perry said (in this instance alone) makes sense.  Who cares if he had dinner with Trump?  Trump might give him some money, but is obviously failing at the mind-control since Perry didn’t immediately adopt Trumos confusion or inability to think critically.

  • joe

but he is still better than any republican—

  • Anonymous

The subject could have been immediately closed here, as it could have a long time ago, if people like Perry would respond with:

“Yes, of course I believe he was born in America. You are wasting my time. Next question.”

Instead everybody does this cute little, “well, I will just take him at his word, but let’s just say I have no reason to think he wasn’t!”

Why would a reporter not ask the question when they know they’re going to get an absurd answer that will generate headlines?

  • Anonymous

yes joe, because we know the government cant fake paperwork or lie, well republicans can, but democrats would never do anything like that

REASON be DAMMNED! Widdle gNOpigs won’t refudiate Parry’s ignorance, he is a REPUBLICAN BIRFHER, from TEXAS, no less.

  • joe

i have yet to be proved wrong yet–
if you are so brave–put up or shut up~

you think the government faked obama’s birth certificate-BEFORE BE WAS NOMINATED AND CLINTONS PEOPLE LOOKED INTO IT???? you think he has more clout that Hillary???
come on–lets not be lil cowards–letsput it on the table…lets now waffle with our true feelings–IF YOU BELIEVE IT–SAY IT AND STAND BY IT–like us ‘liberals’ do.
it does not take a genius to have the basic logic that the BC thing was literally impossible to be a fake..
see here is the problem with the right wingers..
they take issues where there is -0- evidence or proof and create a whole platform on it..
ie the birth certificate, religion, socialism etc and yet they will take actual facts and evidence and throw it out the window —to push a false premise based totally on fiction..
ie the birth certificate, contradictions in their faith and THE ACTUAL DEFINITION OF SOCIALISM???
but i am up for wagers—so far–i am all aces~

Perry aspires to be the Clown Prince of the teabaggers.

where bigger is better yet never really measures up?

    God must love that place—
lets just hope they don’t pray for US—-with prayers like theirs–who needs the devil?

  • expatpatriot

This highlights that what passes for “good political instincts” in Texas is seen as mind-shatteringly stupid everywhere else.

Go back to “punching” cattle, Rick.

  • Anonymous

You’re a shining example of how dim Obama’s opponents really are.

  • expatpatriot

To be fair, Perry didn’t need to adopt Trump’s inability to think critically, because he comes by the trait naturally.

  • Anonymous

Are you a birther? Simple question.

  • Anonymous

Why are cons so eager to prove that Obama is NOT an American? 1/2 of GOP primary voters just this year thought so.

  • expatpatriot

Parade doesn’t go into a lot of depth in its articles (it’s a Sunday supplement after all). As a result, they asked about birferism because it’s a quick and easy litmus test to determine whether a candidate is a moron or not.

  • Anonymous

There are no wingnuts on MSNBC. They can be found on faux noose and talk radio however.

  • Anonymous

We have no proof you are not a birther.

  • Anonymous

Perry should just have said what Romney and Pawlenty said. Obama was born in America…end of story.

  • expatpatriot

Silly Lonestar, Alinsky tactics always win! That’s why liberals use them, and why Republicans, who are much more moral than anyone else, eschew such tactics, even when it means losing elections.

However, in the case of this election, I think we can put Mr. Alinsky back in the grave for awhile, because utter fools like Perry, characterless goniffs like Romney, fanatics like Santorum, tinpot Machiavellis like Gingrich, crazy ladies like Bachmann, and book-tour candidates like Cain will provide so much distraction in their own right that no one in the wingnutariat will notice when Obama steals their lunch money.

  • expatpatriot

Desperation, I’d say. They know they’ll never win on their arguments, so they’re scrabbling for any other way to gin up support, and that apparently includes Trump.

Stupid, I know, but I’ve seen no signs the Republicans are getting wiser since the Bush debacle. Although they still retain their ability to lie to their base convincingly.

  • expatpatriot

Asking whether a candidate is a nut case (or is in favor of nut cases) is disgusting? You have a very sensitive constitution.

  • expatpatriot

I’m trying to figure out whether Perry or Palin should be more insulted by the comparison.

  • expatpatriot

    But not shining very brightly!

  • expatpatriot

    1) If Perry had a functioning brain cell, he would have dismissed the question with a single sentence. But he’s just not that bright, and is trying to keep open the lines of communication to the crackpots in his party.

Note to Perry: the crackpots are outnumbered by several orders of magnitude; kowtowing to them is not helpful to your chances.

    2) Unless Obama decides otherwise, his transcripts are none of your business.

Keep in mind that the public interest is not necessarily defined by what the public finds interesting. If that causes you heartburn, tough shit. The rest of us really don’t care.

  • Redleaf

I think it’s really important that we rehash the Obama birth certificate story.
    I really do.
As a republic, we need to be re-focusing on this crucial issue. The electorate is taking its eye off the ball by turning its attention to the Middle East and the 2012 Republican presidential campaign.

So I’m going to start a website that will constantly rehash this story 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until the end of time. As a nation, it’s clear we have nothing better to think about.

  • expatpatriot

Jay, Jay, Jay. As a progressive, I’m quite aware that my views are not shared by everyone. Heck, I even know that some of my beliefs aren’t shared by my fellow progressives AND there are even ”progressive” opinions that I disagree with myself!

We call it nuance. It’s a fun game. You should try it sometime.

And as for the bilge you’ve spattered above, let me point out that only “very small minority” believes it. It’s useful to remember that intensity of feeling doesn’t automatically convert to reality, no matter how hard you wish for it.

And wishing too hard will give you a hernia.

  • Bob

Graders are just as stupid as Birthers. You lost in 2008. Your beloved Sarah didn’t get to move into the White House. Get over it.
You’re not going to find a magic document that will undo the election.

  • Bob

If the GOP doesn’t want to be called racists and Birthers, then maybe they shouldn’t have spent the past 3 years having their officials pander to them.

  • Bob

He didn’t spend millions hiding anything. That’s a load of crap from Orly Taitz that has been debunked over and over.

  • Bob

Probably because they knew Trump the Liar was leading their entire field in the polls earlier this year. The GOP lunatic base runs the party.

  • Bob

says the party that is obsessing over a 1961 document and thought flag lapel pins were a pressing issue in 2008.

  • Anonymous

Of course it is up to the public to judge an answer. That’s a part of campaigning. Furthermore, all of these candidates have people to tell them how to phrase their answers to try and elicit a certain reaction. For some reason, instead of slamming the door or any thoughts of entertaining birtherism, too many of them are going with the very types of answers im_lovin_it ripped them for, while actively seeking the blessings of Donald Trump.

  • Bob

Perry: “You’ll have to ask him, but I’d certainly like to have the Donald’s
support. He is a job-creating machine, and that’s what I’m all about.”
LOL Trump the Liar is a fake billionaire who’s filed for multiple bankruptcies and is reduced to groveling for a reality show salary to keep his fame.

  • Bob

I wonder if Perry asked Trump the Liar when he’s going to release his tax returns as promised, or when he’s going to share the ‘amazing things’ his Super Secret Hawaiian Birther Task Force investigators supposedly turned up.

  • Anonymous

He’s a dope if he does believe it. If Trump had anything, ANYTHING, he would have used it by now instead of being made to look like an ass-clown, being the butt of the nations jokes, and watching his presidential aspirations get flushed down the toilet.

  • Anonymous

It’s not Perry’s responsibility to verify Obama’s birth certificate.  McCain used to fall for these liberal ruses.  The liberals would demand that he chastise one of his supporters for calling Obama a muslim and of course, McCain would dutifully comply.  It didn’t get him many votes, did it?

  • Anonymous

Sarah Palin would be more insulted.  She’s insulted by almost anything (the exception, of course, being when Rush Limbaugh jokes about retards).  And Rick Perry doesn’t seem to understand what’s going on most of the time.  Yeah, definitely Sarah Palin.

  • Anonymous

Yes it has been answered.  The liberals took it all the way to the Sup. Ct. and it was ruled he was a citizen because he was born of military parents stationed in Panama.

In other words, you want to strip children of US military parents of their American citizenship.  Disgraceful.

  • Anonymous

After dinner, they flew out to N*ggerhead and shot some caged puppies with machine guns.  (You have to real the full story.)

The derangement of the birthers and defenders who sit
on the fence has to come from somewhere, so as long as the defenders are speculating
and bringing up bogus what ifs, here is one.
Maybe the derangement on Obama’s origin or birth, or his collage
transcripts stems from the minds of people who simply can’t understand how we
elected a black man as president.  There
must be some conspiracy behind it; the America I believe in would never have
elected a black man.  I know, he must
have tricked us, he really is a non-American and all of his credentials are
bogus, birth place, religion (he is a Muslim of course) phony or non-existent
    college transcripts, etc.   Something has
to relieve me of the cognitive dissonance of a black guy in the White
House. Now, I can’t prove any of this, but I’m
willing to play along with the proof and facts need not be present in the
    current conservative mind set.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Dave-Be/1751243136 Dave Be

The Supreme Court never ruled on McCain’s citizenship.  He had 1 military parent, not two.  The question about his birth was whether he was born on the US military base or in a civilian hospital, but it doesn’t really matter because a year later a law was passed that retroactively conferred citizenship on anyone born in Panama with a US citizen parent employed by the canal project or by the military.  At most, he may not have been a “natural born citizen” when he was born, but became one when he was a year old when the law was passed.  Also, people did ask for McCain’s birth certificate, and it was a fairly well-publicized issue in the 2000 election, though he never publicly released a copy.

“The liberals would demand that he chastise one of his supporters for

  • Anonymous

Of course calling someone on the stupidly of stating
that he was a Muslim didn’t win him any votes.
McCain was not seen as someone trying to breathe some intelligence into

birther, Muslim hating conspiracy freaks that have taken over said party.

  • Anonymous

Perfect example of why people think your party has been overrun by loons is more like it.

  • Anonymous

Why should they? How many Republican presidential candidates/potential candidates have sought meetings with Trump? Trump is the guy who pushed the bigoted birther movement and when that failed tried to start the “grader” movement by implying the president is undeserving and only succeeded because of affirmative action. Ask them the question. It’s a good litmus test. There will always be that temptation, in a party that becomes increasingly exclusionary, to appeal to a fired up fringe element, by giving a subtle nod to their deluded beliefs.

  • Renny

and lefties love to just drink the kool-aid. Obama doesn’t have a valid SSN, he’s using a dead persons SSN. That screams illegal to anyone with their eyes open. Bottom line we have someone in the White House that the framers would be turning over in their graves about.

  • Anonymous

Sorry not affiliated with any Party..Just a original American made man. Thanks have a great day

  • Renny

ahhh you have A birth certificate. A bad forgery at that. When the liberals can’t think of anything to say that makes any sense they start attacking people personally.

  • Anonymous

    In this case the “reporter” brought it up in an interview where it should be , at this point, irrelevant and unnecessary. If a candidate brings it up on their own, that’s something else. It demonstrates either their gross stupidity or their pandering to a fringe group {which is arguably the same as stupidity}
The fact that Perry would bother to meet with trump at all already indicates  his bad judgement to me unless it was in hopes of a big donation. Ultimately Perry said, it’s a distraction, which is correct.
That’s why the “press” doesn’t need to be bringing it into the conversation. On a list of important things to talk about, it isn’t even close.

fraud? These are legitimate questions. Ignoring these questions will
not make them go away. No amount of ridicule is going to make them
    go away.

I love my country and I believe that those who serve this nation,
deserve the respect of the American people. But respect is not
automatically given. It must be earned. When it comes to the issue
of his birth certificate, Barack Obama has shown a level of contempt
toward the American people not seen since the days of Watergate.
Faith, trust and respect toward those who govern must be restored.

The American people want the truth and the only way to get at the
truth is to do what Barack Obama should have done long ago. Submit
his actual long-form birth certificate (not a digitally doctored
copy) to a legitimate and unbiased forensic examination. The
American people are entitled to know whether the man occupying the
    Oval Office is a fraud!

    Sincerely,

Have a great day Commie !!! I know I will. It is Beautiful day outside.

  • Anonymous

Yeah, I noticed the bigoted Democrats all jump up in unison to defend Romney’s religion. Hypocrites.

  • Anonymous

Just pointing out that you’re only losing votes by defending the adversary.

Guess what, communists and anti-white people vote Democrat. Klan types vote Republican. Each side has 5 to 10% who are out there. But you still need their votes. No point in aggravating them for nothing. McCain didn’t get any Democrat votes by attacking the fringe on his side.

  • Anonymous

Bottom line is people did question the legality of McCain running for president, which upsets the phony racism charge that only Obama has been challenged on this front.

In the “Race-to-the-Bottom” category, Perry will soon offer his 8-8-8 flat tax plan to counter Cain’s nein-nein-nein strategery (if we use that word enough, Bush will get credited when it eventually makes it into the OED).

Actually, Cain’s plan would be a *lot* fairer to the poor if it exempted non-prepared food from the sales tax.

  • Redleaf

If Democrats want Obama reelected, they should encourage Republicans to rehash the birther controversy.
Seriously, America is very receptive to this important controversy. They can’t wait to hear more about why Obama wasn’t born in the US. In fact, the reason unemployment is so high is because Americans are sitting home day and night waiting for more information about Obama’s Kenyan birth.

So, please, Republican, rehash this issue. You can stop around January 20, 2017.

  • caconservative

According to Perry, being Constitutionally qualified to be president is a distractive issue? That remark shows the lack depth of this clown Constitutional knowledge, and character. This jerk is, and has always been an ignorant RINO. The sooner he leaves the list of candidates the better!!

  • Chuck, Sacramento

Oh the horrors!!!  Someone won’t state something definitively that they have no direct knowledge of.   Lock him up and throw away the key!  How dare he suggest even the remotest possibility the ‘chosen one’ isn’t divine?

    HILARIOUS

I get this email all the time from my racist right wing grandparents.

Rick put foot in mouth again I thought everyone that was running for president was off this whole birther crap. Perry should just have said he was born in America then that would be the end of it.

  • Exterris

Perry has invited criticism by true independent voters what he means when he dodges the question of Obama’s birthplace.  He should expect fair questions concerning this at future Republican debates.

I wonder if Perry thinks Trump’s hair is real?

Good Boy, Rick.  Good Republicultist.  Here’s a fresh banana for you!

  • expatpatriot

It’s called good sense. Perry doesn’t have it. This lack disqualifies him from higher office.

And as a (happily former) resident of Texas, I can state with confidence that he’s not qualified to govern a state, either.

  • expatpatriot

Clearly, the Republicans don’t need any encouragement to keep on beating this dead horse (which was always imaginary anyway).

What they don’t understand is that the electorate can figure this stuff out for itself. The conclusion is obvious: if Republicans can’t distinguish reality from fantasy on this issue, what’s the likelihood they’ll do better on more substantive concerns, like the economy or national defense?

  • expatpatriot

Actually, the American people don’t give a rat’s ass about this issue, because most of them are *not* obsessive-compulsive crackpots.

But by all means, keep flogging the issue, because it makes the whole right wing look more detached from reality than it actually is.

  • expatpatriot

(makes twirling motion with forefinger in vicinity of temple)

    Next!

  • expatpatriot

For awhile there, they were neck-and-neck. But you’re right. Perry has pulled way ahead.

Unfortunately for them (but fortunately for everyone else), they’ve taken the same turnoff to Irrelevanttown, and will soon disappear from national view.

Minnesota and Texas — you clean up the mess.

Only real American’s do care. Tell me what you think when your Anointed one is being hauled out of the white house in handcuffs… The news comes soon

  • Bob

    Good Lord, you’re insane.
You lost in 2008 – get over it. There isn’t a piece of paper that will magically put Grandpa McCain and Secessionist Sarah in the White House.
And again, there is ZERO evidence that he “spent millions” hiding anything. Orly the Birther Queen pulled that figure out of her ambulance-chasing ass.

  • expatpatriot

If the Republicans have any sense at all, they’ll let this issue die. Mentioning makes them all look like goofballs.

Now MY recommendation, since Obama is my preferred president, it for the Republicans to broadcast this blather far and wide. I’d say that’s too much to hope for, but given the foolishness with which the entire Republican field is conducting itself I might get my wish after all.

  • expatpatriot

I’m trusting that the staff at the home keep you away from sharp objects. If not, someone is not doing their job!

  • expatpatriot

Thanks for the new monicker, but I think I’ll keep the one I’ve got. You might want to offer your suggestion to one of your imaginary friends.

  • expatpatriot

To be serious, I think Obama’s skin color is of secondary concern to these loons. What makes them *really* nervous is that he’s Lived.Outside.The.United.States.

    He Might.Have.Ideas.

  • expatpatriot

Excuse me, but when did it become Democrats’ responsibility to defend someone’s religion?

You want a religion, get a religion. Don’t ask me about it because I really don’t care.

  • expatpatriot

Except it just makes them look even goofier.

Which I suppose is actually a good thing.

  • expatpatriot

Let’s be accurate. Liberals are able to 1) make sense and 2) torment the moronic and big-mouthed simultaneously.

It’s really not that tough, especially given all ammunition the wingnutariat so willingly provides.

  • expatpatriot

So you believe that Perry’s answer advanced his cause or that of Republicanism generally?

What, are you on Bachmann’s campaign staff? (Or were you until recently?)

  • Anonymous

My friend, you will never see me defend anyone’s religion. My post had nothing to do with religion, just the complete loss of sanity in the party. Heck, today even that pathetic excuse for a human being Pat Robertson was complaining about how extreme the party has become. Now, if this intolerant hateful huckster calls you extreme, that says something.

Can someone please “Give Birth” to a new idea for a change???

  • Sparky the Wonder Dog

yeah, if it had been a Palestinian dentist on the other hand…

  • Sparky the Wonder Dog

Obama was born in Hawaii. If he had been born in Kenya he would be an American citizen but the question would be if he met the Presidential qualification of being a “natural-born citizen”. OK? Now, if he was born in Hawaii but from a C-section….hmmmm.

  • Sparky the Wonder Dog

Give it up. They painted over the rock. Nobody ever painted over Senator Byrd, who voted against the Civil Rights Act and started his political life in a sheet.

  • Anonymous

Well, Pat is right, they have gone too far to the “right”, although I don’t really consider it right.  My idea of right is Charles Lindbergh, et al.

  • Davra

Has anybody considered the FACT that Obama is not legal according to the Constitution Article 2, Section 1, Paragraph 5, which states both Father and mother must be citizens?.  Obamas’ Father was Kenyan and never was a Citizen of the United States, therefore Obama was Born a Brit, no matter where he was born.  And if you don’t think this is enough to disqualify him, then the fact that both parents were not citizen of the U.S. therefore no matter what Obama shows people, the Fact remains he is illegal due to his Father not being a citizen.

  • Bob

There is a video on the net in which Obama announces to a class that he was born in Kenya and not in Hawaii.  True?, Obama knows .If he was not born in Hawaii but in Kenya he is most likely not even a citizen of the US.  His mother did not have the residency requirement to pass citizenship.  Surely Obam is not a Natural Born Citizen which is a requirement for being president.  Guess you haven’t heard that Obama and his family members in the US are using stolen Social Security numbers.  The court is protecting obama on this issue and on learning the real truth in Hawaii about his birth certificate.  Makes little matter where he ws born, he does not meet the qualifications for president.  Aside from the birth certificate and all else Obama has many crimes recorded against him.  If our DOJ was not so corrupt Obama would be in prison.  Congress is starting to look at the issues of Obama.  The FBI should know all but it is part of the DOJ which is corrupt.  The Attorney General is part of the Chicago mob that likes to make its own laws.

  • Anonymous

Yeah, I am aware that Obama is or was using a ss number issued out of CT, and apparently he has never lived there. That’s what I read somewhere, don’t know if it’s true.

  • Anonymous

WOW! America, please stop this nonsense now already, it is now becoming extremely embarrassing to watch from across the pond. It is clear and evident the birth certificates produced are fraudulent. The social security number is another beauty. So plwase cousins, lets all across the Globe witness some real and true patriot politics… ARREST THE USURPER.

Eager, keen and looking to uphold the law. This is the most importatn issue in American History and you wonder why folk are eager ? wow…

What laws have been broken, numbnuts?

  • expatpatriot

    Uh, no.

Describing some home truths about liberals cannot sensibly be described as a “personal attack” on an anonymous poster who can only be precisely characterized as a “Birther.”

I realize that the truth hurts, but it’s seldom guilty of assault.
