Adorable Grooming Cat Steals CNN Rep. Weiner Segment From Mary Matalin

Finally, something cute about the Rep. Anthony Weiner social media sex scandal: earlier today on CNN, Randi Kaye hosted a discussion about the Congressman’s transgressions and his refusal to resign with Jane Velez-Mitchell and Mary Matalin. Matalin surely had some worthy insights into the saga during her segment, but whatever they may have been, it’s safe to say they were overshadowed by the adorable cat grooming itself in the backdrop of her shot.

Matalin was speaking live from her home in New Orleans (which she famously shares with husband and fellow CNN analyst James Carville), and spoke extensively as to the latest developments in the increasingly uncomfortable and weird story of Rep. Weiner and his cyber paramours. Meanwhile, a black and white cat nonchalantly groomed itself behind her, which made it rather difficult to concentrate on the important issue of the day. It’s no surprise that the house cat wouldn’t want to be the only member of the family that didn’t get some CNN airtime, but this leaves many questions unanswered. For one, what’s the kitty’s name, and did they raise it liberal or conservative? America demands answers.

Granted, it is because I viewed the video on my laptop, which doesn’t have has good a view as a desktop might.

But I could barely see the cat because the background was so dark.

Something Frances may want to consider next time she posts a video with comments about something happening in the background. VIEW IT ON A LAPTOP BEFORE POSTING. Just sayin’.
