Don Lemon: Hillary’s Plea to White People on Shootings May Have ‘Won Over’ Black Voters
In a CNN interview this afternoon, Hillary Clinton made a plea to white people to better understand how black families feel after police shootings. And CNN’s Don Lemon said that is an “appealing message” to African-Americans.
Lemon said that there’s certainly room for every American to look for the “racist, bigoted, or biased tendencies within us,” especially white people.
And he said that anyone who said “black people need to clean up their act” is just “on the wrong message.”
Whatever reservations black people may have about Clinton, he concluded, “she may have just won them over.”
