Donald Trump Takes Credit For Mitt Romney’s Big Win In Nevada

video

Appearing on Fox and Friends Monday, Donald Trump wasted no time in giving himself credit for Mitt Romney‘s landslide victory in the Nevada caucus.

“There was a lot riding on that particular race in Nevada and it was interesting, because the numbers were much, much greater than you thought,” Trump gloated. “And a lot of people are giving me credit for that. And I will accept that credit.”

Earlier in the interview, co-anchor Steve Doocy asked why Trump took so long to endorse a candidate.

“I like Newt a lot, but I think Mitt Romney is going to win the election against Obama,” Trump observed. “I really believe that. I think Obama will not do well and won’t do as well as people are thinking he’s going to do, and I think that Mitt Romney is going to win the election. But there was a lot of confusion as to who I was going to endorse and frankly, that made things exciting!”

A Facebook/Politico poll found that forty-one percent of Nevada caucus-goers surveyed said Trump’s endorsement gave them a more negative view of Romney.

Trump: “…“And a lot of people are giving me credit for that…”

    Other than yourself, name one.

His ego has no bounds. It’s all about him all the time.

    I expected this sooner.

God bless that man! He just gives, and gives, and gives.

Whether you’re a conservative, a liberal or a libertarian, you have to admit that Fox and Fiends have lowered the bar in terms of morning news programs. They all have been bad for more than decade, but these people are dumb as boards. You can admit that without compromising your conservatism ya’ know. Any fair minded person of average intelligence can see the right wing SPIN right in front of their eyes.

Think of the all the votes Mitt could have gotten if you would have kept your “endorsement” to yourself.

  • Anonymous

Indeed, if he’s older than Romney he’s probably going to take credit for him being born.

  • Anonymous

So when Obama takes Romney to the woodshed, will you take credit for that one, too?

  • Centrist79

So will he take credit when Romney loses the election?

  • ganmerlad

Of course he takes credit.  He is the king-maker after all.  The whole of the US hangs on his every word and follows his every lead.  He is richer than anyone can imagine, sexier than George Clooney, and more savvy than Warren Buffet. What an amazing guy!

At least…that is what Trump thinks.

  • ganmerlad

    ARgh, RatRolled AGAIN!

    Obviously, great minds think alike.

Yes. Truly a legend in his own mind.

  • Чёрт Возьми

Trump arranged for the sun to rise, also.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

And, he did a very poor job in South Central Texas. Bleak. Dreary.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

One might ask if the Donald’s endorsement suppressed turn out in Nevada. Rather markedly less than in 2008.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jj-Wisniewski/100002654075475 Jj Wisniewski

Big win? Romney got  5,000 votes less than he did in 2008, a mere 16,000 votes. When Nevada saw the likes of Trump at Romney’s side, they said this is crazy. In 2010, thanks to Sarah Palin, they nominated Sharon Angle to run against Harry Reid. She was crazier than Christine O’Donnell, the witch from Delaware.

Just curious, do any intelligent political individuals like Trump or think hes credible?

  • Чёрт Возьми

Would that be near San Antonio? I lived there for a few years.

  • Чёрт Возьми

I think that as an IQ test, liking Trump would indicate failure.

Trump is the type that holds everyoine spielbound.

  • The Real Royal Emperor

Most Texans consider the Austin area the end of Central Texas and San Antonio the beginning of South Texas. I’m about 70 miles north of the Alamo City.

  • Anonymous

Turn out was down in 4 out 5 primaries. Romney has spent record amounts of money.

  • Anonymous

A lot of people will give him credit when Obama wins in November, will he take credit for that also?

  • Hout Bosques

We DID get it “sooner”. Ever since President O’Al Green eviscerated the notion of a Trump waddle for the NOMination by scorching The Combover’s Deflector Shield with his deadly Ultasound Mock Ray at last year’s WH Correspondent’s perloo, La PompaTrump has been delivering a consistent message on Fuppet News: that his endorsement is critical to the eventual outcome of the GOP Contest. Apparently the Blamestream Media missed out on exactly how pivotal is the Casino Workers’ bloc.

  • Michael Jordan

I’m still trying to figure out why anybody gives a damn what Trump thinks.  Somebody is going to have to explain it to me because I seriously don’t see what makes him worth listening to about anything. What constituency or demographic does he represent?  People who like loud noises? Hair Club for Men?  Tell me one group of people who really take this ass clown seriously and why?

  • Hout Bosques

I just can’t imagine why the framestream media are suggesting that this chronically poor turn-out at GOP primaries indicates a lack of enthusiasm for the choices on offer. Don’t they realize that surprise is a key element to the Rove Master Plan for electing Mittens?

  • Anonymous

Apparently Fox News. It’s a ploy to allow Democrats to heap scorn on Trump and ignore Romney for a while.

  • Anonymous

The overriding question in all of this is how could the Romney campaign and Mitt himself be so naive and, well, stupid as to gleefully accept Trump’s public endorsement in a lavish and nationally broadcast event in Vegas? Trump is a loose canon that will never be controlled by Team Mitt. Romney gets a wacky ally that will likely hurt more than help, as well as an endorsement that only feeds the narrative that Romney is an out of touch elitist who only[pals around with rich white guys that ship jobs to China.  http://www.sunstateactivist.org

  • Anonymous

There he goes again! Taking credit for someone else’s money moving machine. Trump is too full of himself to realize he’s just another Yookle wanting to fill the airways with his own version of what happened. Could it have been the people who voted for Romney who actually voted him into this primary position? Naw! It was Trump! Trump bought the votes. The TEA-GOP-Republican have proven beyond any shadow of doubt, they are money-hungry power-mongers. It
is my opinion that president Obama is much smarter than given credit for. This
man definitely has leadership qualities that far outshine any of his prospective
    opponents.

  • Anonymous

Donald Trump is a prince among men, a totally relevant political figure and everything he puts his name to is a guaranteed success. He says he is so it must be true.:)

All the failures were just one offs, the bankruptcies, the declining rating fro his TV show, his aborted runs for president, his failed presidential debate, Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka,…

Mitt’s only argument against Obama is that he has private sector experience. Trump has more private sector experience. By Romney’s own logic, Trump is more qualified to be president than Romney is. I don’t blame Trump for taking credit for Romney’s win in Nevada.

  • Anonymous

    Mr.
Trump it is so unbecoming of you or anyone else, who has to pat oneself on the back,
without actual proof for something they may or may not have affected.

    If
Romney would have lost would you have so gladly patted yourself on your back?

    Do you
realize how little you make yourself out to be, by appearing so needy and so desirous
of attention, it is sad, so sad, so very sad?

  • Michael Jordan

You know that would be funny if it weren’t such a sad truth.  The two top contenders for the GOP nomination are a thoughtless vain robot who’ll take any position to win an election
and a racist misanthrope who thinks he’s the smartest man in the country.  And the big news is one of them got endorsement of a tacky carnival barker who has all the class of a pimp.

Answer:    ”God does not think that he is Donald Trump!”

Romney got 3% less votes than in ’08, but it’s a good thing that Trump endorsed him. His ego is second only to Obama.

  • Anonymous

With his reality show about to start I expect this jackass to bo out begging for attention, but why does anybody in the media give it to him at this point?

Here you have one far-right bomb-throwing wingnut (Bolling) interviewing another (Trump).

How can something that hasn’t happened yet, be a fact?
Not that that’s your only mistake.

  • Anonymous

He seems to have captured the birther movement, so that’s his base, and Romney couldn’t afford to reject it.
Btw, he was expelled from the Hair Club for Men.

    Trump Stool Softener?
    That’s still around, isn’t it?

Romney doesn’t have an ego. That’s why he appears so unnatural in a poliltical role.
He does have a sense of entitlement, but that’s not the same thing.

Trump’s ego is second to none.
Is Obama a shameless blowhard, constantly bragging on himself?
    Really?

     Yes

    Utter crap.
Of all the negatives I’ve seen on Obama, NO one has called him a braggart.
Do you just say things, and assume that they’ll be believed because…you say so?
    Seriously?

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_34VQ3NDNOFFUF6R7ALXY6O33S4 Cal

He’d actually be richer today if he’d just taken the assets (mostly real estate, but also a good chunk of cash) he inherited from his father and sat on it, instead of trying to be a businessman himself.

  • Anonymous

I’ve heard him called a narcissist a hundred times. Because he is one. He’s more full of himself than even Trump. He grades himself (a B I believe). He thinks that he deserves four more years. He thumbs his nose at the Constitution, and Congress, almost daily. I say things that I believe and that are apparent to me and others.

You’re just in love and are incapable for seeing him for the Marxist that he is.

  • Anonymous

    What a joke you are.
You just disproved your point, while proving mine. If he really were a narcissist, he would have given himself an A+, as Trump would have, or has.
And of course he thinks he deserves another term. Are you under the impression that you’ve proved that he doesn’t? Or are you under the impression that he caused the financial crash in the first place?
Or that it hasn’t gotten vastly better since he’s been in office. See the recovered stock market, or the record corporate profits. And if you cared about working people, you’d be a Democrat, anyway.
And what is this ‘Marxist’ crap that you’re peddling, or should I say, trying to peddle, or just repeating. None of you have ever put forth even the slightest trace of proof for that one. As if you could.
As for me being in love, I’m not. I just despise all of you wrong-wing slobs who celebrate ignorance and stupidity. And get used by ridiculous clowns like Palin, Gingrich, Bachmann, and Trump, whom I also despise. Because you’re too stupid to avoid it.
And because you are in hate for Obama because you’re incapable of thinking for yourselves.

  • Anonymous

You must be living on a government check provided by me. There is no way you work for a living. Obama has increased the national debt by 50% in three years and you think that’s good? There’s also no way you have children. If you do, then you don’t give a damn about the mess we’re leaving them to clean up.

Obama has absolutely nothing to do with the stock market. Real unemployment is 12%. you’re an idiot and nothing I can say will cure you’re stupidity.
