Evangelical Leader: If Moral Character Matters for Bill Clinton, It Matters for Donald Trump Too
Evangelical leader Russell Moore on CNN tonight profusely criticized Donald Trump on the question of his moral character, as he did earlier when Trump spoke at Liberty University:
This would be hilarious if it weren't so counter to the mission of the gospel of Jesus Christ. #TrumpatLiberty

Evangelicals can love a golden calf, as long as Aaron promises to make Mexico pay for it.

Moore appeared on CNN tonight and told Erin Burnett he has a serious problem with a candidate who’s had two unpleasant divorces and has been deeply involved in the gambling industry for years.
And it seriously bothered him that Trump completely misunderstands the idea of Christian forgiveness.
Pastor James Davis, a Trump supporter, shot back that Americans want a leader who can deal with crisis, not a “pastor-in-chief.”
Moore agreed, but still insisted, “Character matters. If character matters for Bill Clinton––and it does, and it did––then character matters for Donald Trump. And to dismiss that is unbelievable.”
