    “top-rated non-FNC cable news show”

I assume this is the new ultimate goal on the other news networks.

  • Zakk

Be the best of the worst. Congrats! Way to reach for the starts.

  • Zakk

    whoops!

    Stars!

  • Olby Sucks

Is this a new Neilson Ratings category? “Non Fox News channel.” Wait, I thought “ratings don’t matter” and “more people watch sponge bob?”

  • taxed

    what a sad headline!

  • MichelleF

I have to laugh out loud at these headlines. Pathetic!

  • writer

Maybe they could apply this to sports. “He won a non-Lance Armstrong bike race.” “They won a non-Saints Super Bowl.”

  • The Real Royal King

I would like to see Lawrence be a permanent replacement. He’ll interview anyone and not give anyone a pass.

  • dhg

I think the point here is ratings are better when Olbermann is not there…

  • puck30

I agree! Make Larry the permanent replacement! And make sure he is LIVE! LIVE! LIVE!

    No delays!

  • Helix

But wait, wait, didn’t some one say FNC isn’t really news? Then MSNBC is back to #1 after all. If this were the best seller list of the NYT, we could have the non-conservative best sellers in their own category too. A special non-fox category for ratings would undoubtedly boost the self-esteem of the other network executives. Considering these numbers they probably could use it. Figure HLN is about as low as you can get ratingswise without blackscreen/dead air time, since it is played in airport terminals and such. Or, just maybe, if they changed their program content they could get better ratings? Say, to something that doesn’t attack, belittle, and offend half or more of your potential viewership population? Naah, top management(GE) would never go for that….
