Overlooked: Kim Kardashian’s Husband Didn’t Know Of Wife’s Previous Marriage?

video

First some caveats: no, this is not a typical Mediaite story, and yes, there are many in the world who will ridicule me for posting something that everyone has been talking about for days. It is, however, a late August newsday, and this clip seems to so perfectly reflect some major disconnect going on in the country right now. The story? NBA basketball player Kris Humphries (and recently betrothed husband to reality star Kim Kardashian) reveals that he was not aware of his wife’s previous marriage. Of course he didn’t! Why would he?

I will allow you, dear reader, to deconstruct the disconnect referenced in the previous paragraph. But I would suggest start by words like, “celebrity,” “reality,” and “fame.” Bonus points for any reference to Allan Bloom‘s Closing of the American Mind.

Good God – just proves how stupid the guy is – he could have found out every little secret about his “soul mate” on the web.  What do we give this million dollar walk down the isle?  Perhaps less than a year?

  • Tampopoloco

America! Exceptionalism at it’s finest here.

She told him he was the first one she ever had sex with.
Begged him to please be gentle, and help her through the experience!
    lol

I wonder if he knows about her sex video on DVD??

  • Anonymous

who cares?  how long will this marriage last, anyway??  i give it 6 months.

Let me try! Ravelstein in reality passed through the world as Bloom, a celebrity on the right for his dour eurocentrism… His greatest fame a text written amongst Wagner, thickly collected tobacco smoke and buggery. A man as certain about his worth as Kim and just as correct.

Twelve; that’s the combined IQ of this couple!

Oh, he didn’t know she was MARRIED?  And, how about that porn video she made with the Black fellow (do not know his name) but the preview I watched was quite a sex act.  Don’t know how she managed that one.
You can see it (the clip) for free and it is a “whopper.”  I cannot write more without getting banished from the
    site.

To answer the doofus question by one of the goofs about Googling someone you just met, thinking that most people do, well that had to be the dumbest question ever.  Why do you think there are so many missing and beat up people that met someone through online dating?

OK so we have the blond down in Maryland, missing.  Met her man on Match.com and he had, what more temporary restraining orders than a Paris Hilton stalker.  Then the one woman that got raped by another low-life she met on Match.com who had a criminal record.

FOR THE LAST TIME…FOR THE VERY LAST TIME!!!!  IT TAKES 5 MINUTES AND AT THE MOST $5 TO DO A BACKGROUND CHECK ON ANYONE!!!!!

And most people, especially women, won’t take the safety precautions necessary to protect themselves from losers.  So as an answer to that talking head’s question, most people do not Google someone they meet for the first time.

If they did do the Google thing then maybe we won’t have so many missing female stories on the Today Show.  In this case of Kris Humphries, this is either total reality TV crap for reality TV sake or he’s just gotta be about the dumbest basketball player in the NBA.

Hey maybe something good will come out of this article.  OK back to copy and pasting e-mails via my profile at Match.com.

They aren’t going to make it 4 months anyway.  Two idiots getting married – one a dumb as a rock athlete and the other a dumb as a rock Kardashian.

Your claim is a lie and I think there marriage will last more than a yearr so your that it isn’t going to last a year. And it doesn’t prove either that Kris Humpries is stupid but that prove your stupid and don’t know what your talking about either.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_SIYF5565LXG7BBKTKGSSFWU7TA The Rock

None of your business if Kris knows it or not and why do you care if he does or doesn’t?

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_SIYF5565LXG7BBKTKGSSFWU7TA The Rock

And if you don’t care as you say you do than don’t click the headline as you do care. And your claim which is a lie the marriage will last more than 6 months and your wrong as well.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_SIYF5565LXG7BBKTKGSSFWU7TA The Rock

That is your combined IQ and your idiot & moron. And your wrong as well.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_SIYF5565LXG7BBKTKGSSFWU7TA The Rock

You must be dumb I believe he just didn’t know that Kim was married before she doesn’t talk about it and I don’t blame Kim for not talking about it since it’s in the past anyways.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_SIYF5565LXG7BBKTKGSSFWU7TA The Rock

And your claim which is a lie and basless your dumb as a rock. Kim & Kris aren’t dumb as a rock so you need to grow up.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_SIYF5565LXG7BBKTKGSSFWU7TA The Rock

I was susprise that Kris didn’t know that Kim was married before. Then again before I got into Keeping Up With Kardashians I didn’t know that Kim was married knew about the sex video.

What language might you be attempting to write in? lol

  • Anonymous

Perfect grammatical formation.  Sentence structure, impossible to match your excellence in writing.

My God if you’re going to call me dumb at least let it come from someone that can construct a sentence.

For the record, a ‘period’ goes after the word “dumb.”  Should have been written “dumb.” which is 4th grade material. Also a ‘period’ must be placed after the word “before” as it should end your sentence and you should capitalize the start  the following sentence where you start with the word “She.”

And finally there is no such word as “anyways” at the end of your comment.  The word “anyways” does not exist in the annals of the English language at any point.  On any page.  Nor in any conversation. The proper word is “anyway” without the “s.”  Once again 4th grade material.

Really ticks me off when people on blogs can’t negotiate the English language.  Your response is not even funny as I try to make it to be.  It’s pretty embarrassing.

“That is your combined IQ and your (sic) (it should be “you’re [an]) idiot and [a] moron.  And your (sic) (should be “you’re”) wrong as well.”

The second (almost a) clause, “And your (sic) wrong as well.”  Should be part of the entire sentence, joined with a comma and the word “and.”  As writen, you have an implied subordinate clause that can not stand alone as an independent clause especially without a verb because as written; (“your” is not the same as “you’re” which does include a verb.)

    You’re = you are

So, “Rock” who’s the idiot? (Rock, notice the “who’s”; it includes a verb, as it actually means “who is” just like “you’re” which means “you are.”)

I guess, you were at the wedding?

    Amen!  Right on!

I hate the use of the word “Anyways.” That word, with an “s” at the end, would make it plural and it would become a noun.  “Anyway” is an adverb. “Anyways,” too often used today is, at best, slang.

“Anyway” can often be interchanged with the word “anyhow.”  Who, in their right mind, is going to say, “anyhows?”

It just shows how uneducated people are.  People who spend too much time online and not enough time listening to the teacher in a classroom.  And we wonder what happens to some of those people locked in to the 50% bracket of those who don’t graduate from high school.  This guy clearly is one of them. Again what’s amazing is he called me “dumb.”  I mean damn.  He really thought what he said was grammatically correct, I guess.  I’ll say it once if I’ve said it thrice, it truly highlights the mediocrity of America.
