President Obama: “Sarah Palin’s Not Much Of An Expert On Nuclear Issues”
Could this be a very brief preview of a presidential debate sometime around September 2011?
In a Good Morning America interview in Prague, George Stephanopoulos asked Pres. Barack Obama about recent comments from Sarah Palin. And Obama’s dismissal was obvious.
Stephanopoulos asked about Palin’s comment this week on Sean Hannity‘s FNC show that it was “unbelievable” what Pres. Obama was doing with the nuclear program and it was “like one kid saying go ahead punch me in the face, I’m not going to retaliate.”
Obama’s reaction: “I really have no response to that. Last I checked, Sarah Palin’s not much of an expert on nuclear issues.”
Stephanopoulos later asked about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad calling Obama an “inexperienced amateur,” and that got a laugh from the Commander-in-chief.
Obama: So far you’ve quoted Sarah Palin and now President Ahmadinejad. You’re trying to get a rise out of me.
Stephanopoulos: It’s not going to work?
Obama: No, it’s not.
Well, he tried.
Here’s the interview:
