‘That Is a Low Blow’: Sanders Snaps at Hillary for Accusing Him of Trashing Obama

bernie hillary 3Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders waited until the last few minutes of the Democratic debate tonight to blow up at each other. Over what? Over whether Sanders has been supportive enough of President Obama.

Clinton brought up a Sanders interview earlier today when he said Obama failed to fix the leadership gap in America and said, “The kind of criticism that we’ve heard from Senator Sanders I expect from Republicans, I do not expect from someone running for the Democratic nomination to succeed President Obama.”

Sanders immediately show back, “Madam Secretary, that is a low blow.” He mockingly said that “last I heard, we lived in a democratic society,” and he asked Clinton, “Have you ever disagreed with the president? I suspect you may have.”

After Clinton insisted she’s been with President Obama every step of the way, Sanders said, “One of us ran against Barack Obama. I was not that candidate.”
