Tucker Carlson Slams Democrats Pushing for Faithless Electors: ‘They Don’t Believe in Democracy’
Fox News host Tucker Carlson had harsh words for the Democrats pushing for the electoral college to vote for anyone other than president-elect Donald Trump Monday, accusing them of betraying their long-stated commitment to democracy.
“For my lifetime, the left has made a pretty strong case in favor of democracy, empowering people to choose their government. It’s basic American understanding of how the government is supposed to work,” he said on Fox & Friends.

“They are making the opposite case now. They are basically saying it doesn’t matter that 62 million people voted for Trump, it doesn’t matter that we had an election, it’s immaterial…” Carlson argued. “They don’t believe in democracy.”
Carlson said the same of Republicans who tried to stop Trump by unbinding delegates at the Republican National Convention. “It’s a crisis when the people running your democracy don’t believe in democracy,” he concluded.
