‘We Never Went to the Moon!’ Trump Fan At Rally Stuns Interviewer — And 1,000 Percent Could Be Nic Cage In Disguise

An interviewer was stunned by a Trump supporter who answered one strange question with an even stranger off-topic response — and did so in a manner that strongly evoked acting legend Nicolas Cage.

Jason Selvig is one-half of the viral prank comedy duo “The Good Liars” — the other half is his partner Davram Stiefler   — and together they’ve spent years pulling politically-oriented pranks and creating viral moments on both sides of the aisle.

Stiefler and Selvig are also practitioners of the Trump-fan-on-the-street interview that has also become the mainstay of folks like CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, The Daily Show’s Jordan Klepper, and especially the pro-Trump outlet Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN).

Selvig showed up outside Trump’s speech to followers in Hialeah, Florida last week, and got into an exchange with a Trump fan that was surreal even by Good Liars standards.

The Trump-gear-festooned supporter answered Selvig’s question — “Do you believe the Earth is flat or round?” — in a deadpan and pffbeat manner that very closely resembled someone suffering in the throes of The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent:

SELVIG: Do you think the earth is round or flat?

NOT-NIC-CAGE (WE THINK): I know we didn’t go to the moon.

SELVIG: We didn’t go to the moon?

NOT-NIC-CAGE (WE THINK): No, didn’t go to the moon.

SELVIG: Wait. Why do you say that?

NOT-NIC-CAGE (WE THINK): Because you can’t get out of the atmosphere.

SELVIG: Really? What do you mean?

NOT-NIC-CAGE (WE THINK): Why don’t we go look, uh, underwater or past the ice? That’s where it’s at. They want you to look up. They don’t want you to look on our own ground.

SELVIG: Do you think the earth is flat?

NOT-NIC-CAGE (WE THINK): I don’t know.
