‘Blatant Lie!’ Epstein’s Brother Disputes White House Claim That Trump Was Never in Epstein’s Office
The brother of Jeffrey Epstein disputes the claim by the White House that President Donald Trump never went inside the office of the convicted sex trafficker.
Appearing on CNN’s Outfront with Erin Burnett, Mark Epstein called the White House claim a “blatant lie.” Burnett asked her guest about an assertion from Epstein accuser Maria Farmer — who claimed that she saw once saw Trump in Epstein’s office.
“She also talked about an encounter with Trump at your brother’s office, this was in 1995,” Burnett said. “She found it disturbing. She said she told the FBI twice to look into people around your brother — including Trump. But she talked about this incident that she said happened in his office. And the White House, their response to us, Mark, they were categorical. They said, ‘the president was never in Epstein’s office.”
“That’s just another blatant lie!” Mark Epstein said — claiming there are others who can refute the White House assertion. “Because he was there. People that worked for Jeffrey in his office, they could testify that they saw Trump in Jeffrey’s office on numerous occasions. So for him to say he wasn’t there, all I can say is that’s just just another lie.”
Earlier in the splashy interview, Mark Epstein claimed that his brother and Trump were “very close.” He also shared a story about a trip he took on his brother’s plane in 1999 in which, he said, Trump joked about having affairs with married women.
“Jeffrey asked him, ‘How come you sleep with so many married women?’ And Donald said, ‘Because it’s so wrong.'” Mark Epstein said.
