‘Forced To Sit Fully Gagged!’ Trump Whips Up Rally Crowd With False Claims On Eve of Election Interference Trial
Former President Donald Trump whipped up fans at a rally with false claims about his impending election interference trial, attacking the narrow gag order against him and ripping both the judge and President Joe Biden.
Trump will be required to appear in court Monday morning for jury selection in the case that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has brought involving hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels in order to interfere with the election, which resulted in a several-dozen-count indictment of Trump.
While Judge Juan Merchan recently expanded a gag order against Trump after Trump relentlessly attacked his daughter, Loren Merchan, that has not stopped Trump from lashing out at Merchan.
Trump held a rally in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania on Sunday that hit the familiar beats of a Trump rally, and included a blistering set of false attacks on Judge Merchan and President Biden, as well as the unsettling image of a bound and gagged Trump:
DONALD TRUMP: Two days from now, the entire world will witness the commencement of the very first Biden trial. They’re all Biden trials. You know that, right?
And I’m proud to do it for you. Have a good time watching. Have a good time watching. On Monday in New York City. I won’t be forced to sit fully gagged. I’m not allowed to talk. Can you believe it? They want to take away my constitutional right to talk.
I have a crooked judge. (crowd jeers).
This has never happened before by the way, you do know that right?
Fully gagged before a highly conflicted and corrupt judge who suffers from TDS. Does anyone know what TDS is?

Trump’s assertions are false — literally and figuratively. He will not be forced to wear a gag in court — ball or otherwise — and the gag orders against him are all narrowly tailored and allow him to speak about the trial and even attack the judge.
The trial is not a “Biden trial” — the federal government and the president are not involved in the prosecution, and fact-checkers have repeatedly debunked the attack.
