Jim Acosta Savages Greg Gutfeld ‘Pumping Out Lies’ For Trump In Searing Botanically-Themed Rant
Jim Acosta savaged Fox News host Greg Gutfeld as a sub-sentient life form “pumping out lies” for President Donald Trump in an existential and horticultural response to Gutfeld’s 8-minute on-air attack.
Gutfeld provoked Acosta with an 8-minute segment ripping the new Substack video podcast The Jim Acosta Show in a sustained segment that included criticism of Acosta’s houseplant.
Acosta promised a detailed rejoinder, and delivered on Thursday’s edition of his show. Keying in on the plant Gutfeld mocked, Acosta trashed the Fox News host as a “potted plant that’s not allowed to do anything other than pump out the lies that passes for news on your network”:
JIM ACOSTA: Apparently last night on Fox, comedian Greg Gutfeld — I don’t believe he’s a journalist. He’s a comedian there — took an interest in this program.
Apparently, he did a segment about my show, this show right here on Substack, last night on Fox. The segment was nearly eight minutes. Eight minutes!
My word to Greg Gutfeld: thank you, Greg. Thank you so much for devoting eight minutes of your television program to my Substack show. I really appreciate it.
As I posted on X earlier today, don’t you guys at Fox have anything else to cover? Oh, that’s right. You can’t say anything critical of Trump or Elon Musk, so you have to go after guys like me.
This is the sorry state of affairs for people like Greg Gutfeld. For the next four years, all they will be able to do over at Fox is serve as a mouthpiece for Trump. Trump State TV.
And how did that work out the last time around when you had Fox personalities texting with the chief of staff over at the White House, Mark Meadows during the January 6th insurrection, telling Meadows at the time that this looks bad.
Yeah, no kidding. Greg apparently had something else to say about one of my houseplants. I don’t know if you’re still following along here, but Greg Gutfeld during his segment on Fox about my show, this Substack show talked about my my houseplant and I brought it right here. This is it right here. This is the the little guy. He was in the background in one of the videos and Greg thought it was hilarious and talked about it on his show.
Imagine having a show like his and he has nothing to offer. And comments about my plants? Houseplants Greg! Houseplants.
Truth be told, you’re a bit of a potted plant yourself, aren’t you, Greg? Sitting there over at Fox, unable to say what you probably would like to say about Donald Trump, but you can’t.
But just sit there, Greg, while the Murdoch money continues to water your bank account. A potted plant that’s not allowed to do anything other than pump out the lies that passes for news on your network.
So keep right on sitting there, Greg. Just like a potted plant. Growing in the darkness of your own making.
One day the sunlight of the truth will come shining through. And that truth will reveal you for who you are. Just another Fox fraud.
