SHOCK POLL: Americans Believe Trump ‘Involved’ in Epstein’s Crimes By Whopping 14-Point Margin

A stunning new poll finds that a plurality of voters believe President Donald Trump was “involved” in Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.

According to a poll published Tuesday by the Economist and YouGov, nearly half of all Americans believe Trump was an Epstein accomplice. Respondents were asked: “Do you think that Donald Trump was involved in crimes allegedly committed by Jeffrey Epstein?” Overall, 46 percent said yes — compared to 32 percent who said no, and 23 percent who weren’t sure.

Unsurprisingly, Democrats overwhelmingly believe the president was complicit — with 80 percent saying they think he was involved in Epstein’s crimes, compared to just 5 percent who think he was not involved. But perhaps more revealing is the fact that many Republicans aren’t closing the door on the possibility either. The poll found nearly a third of Republicans believe either Trump was involved in Epstein’s crimes or are not sure (11 percent believe he was involved, and 21 percent say they aren’t sure). Just 68 percent of Republicans categorically believe Trump was not involved with Epstein crimes — a far cry from the 90+ percent majority among Republicans that Trump enjoys on many issues.

Elsewhere in the poll, a vast majority of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of the Epstein investigation — with just 21 percent saying they approve, compared to 61 percent who disapprove. And 67 percent of respondents said they think the government is covering up evidence in the Epstein probe, while only 12 percent believe that nothing has been covered up.

And there is overwhelming opposition for a pardon for longtime Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell. The poll found a paltry 4 percent of voters think Trump should grant a pardon for Maxwell, compared to 64 who oppose a Maxwell pardon. Trump has left the door open on pardoning Maxwell — saying, on Monday in Scotland, that while it would be “inappropriate” to talk about a pardon for Maxwell, he is “allowed” to grant one.
