Trump Rips Into ‘Sleazebag’ Dems for ‘PLAYING THE REF’ with Supreme Court

President Donald Trump lashed out at “stone cold CRAZY” Democrats — this time accusing them of “PLAYING THE REF” with the Supreme Court as it hears a major case tied to his immigration agenda.

The Supreme Court began oral arguments Thursday on the administration’s push to end birthright citizenship, presented in a January executive order that would deny citizenship to children born in the U.S. to non-citizen or non-permanent resident parents.

In a furious Truth Social post Thursday, the president raged against “Radical Left SleazeBags” for “PLAYING THE REF” in a bid to shape the court’s decision:

The Radical Left SleazeBags, which has no cards remaining in its illegal bag of tricks, is, in a very coordinated manner, PLAYING THE REF with regard to the United States Supreme Court. They lost the Election in a landslide, and with it, have totally lost their confidence and reason. They are stone cold CRAZY! I hope the Supreme Court doesn’t fall for the games they play. The people are with us in bigger numbers than ever before. They want to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

While the 14th Amendment guarantees citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,” Trump’s legal team is sidestepping that question and instead asking the justices to rein in lower court power – specifically, the ability of federal judges to issue nationwide injunctions.

Three federal judges have already blocked the policy nationwide, calling it legally indefensible. The administration argues these sweeping injunctions tie the president’s hands and has asked the Court to limit their scope.

Liberal justices hammered the government’s position, warning that removing nationwide blocks would create a chaotic “patchwork” of legal standards across states. Conservative justices, meanwhile, appeared open to narrowing injunctions. A decision is expected by early July.
