Trump Issues Statement on Kash Patel and Dan Bongino — As MAGA Torches Them Over Epstein

FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino have come under fire from many prominent MAGA supporters Monday — following the release of a DOJ/FBI memo which concludes the federal government has neither a Jeffrey Epstein client list, nor any evidence implicating additional perpetrators. But President Donald Trump is going to bat for his top FBI brass, despite the criticism they are getting on the right.

In a Monday afternoon post to Truth Social, the president did not address the Epstein matter, but more broadly gave Patel and Bongino a vote of confidence.

“The FBI, under the direction of Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino, is back to the basics: Locking up criminals, and cleaning up America’s streets,” Trump wrote. “We have the Greatest Law Enforcement professionals in the World, but ‘Politics’ and Corrupt Leadership often prevented them from doing their job. That is no longer the case, and now, they have been unleashed to do their jobs, and they are doing just that. Keep it up — MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN!”

Prior to taking over atop the FBI, both Patel and Bongino heavily trafficked in the Epstein conspiracy theories they are now trying to shut down. Bongino repeatedly urged his podcast audience to not “let that story go, keep your eye on this.” And Patel said he would push to release Epstein’s client list on “Day 1” — a list he now believes the FBI does not have.

Major MAGA influencers have spent the day going after Patel and Bongino — as well as Attorney General Pam Bondi — for their nothing-to-see-here posture on Epstein.

“As trusted voices like @FBIDDBongino, @FBIDirectorKash, and @AGPamBondi align with the official story, many are asking: Who’s still willing to demand real answers?” Mike Lindell’s LindellTV account posted on X. “Why are so many high-profile names never mentioned? Why seal everything if there’s nothing to hide?”

Alex Jones added of Patel and Bongino, “I think you see them losing their souls on live TV.”
