Bob Beckel To Austan Goolsbee: ‘What The Hell Are You Doing Going On Sean Hannity’s Show?’
Last night, Hannity aired the first part of an interview between Sean Hannity and former Council of Economic Advisers chairman Austan Goolsbee. Today on The Five, Bob Beckel said he wished Goolsbee had called him before the interview, as he would have had some advice: don’t do it!
The rest of Beckel’s co-hosts seemed to agree that Goolsbee made a mistake, but for different reasons. Andrea Tantaros argued that, were Goolsbee or the Obama administration to have a “leg to stand on” on their economic record, there would be no problem with going on Hannity, but as it stood, he was going on there with “nothing.”
Beckel said that Goolsbee should have known that it wouldn’t be an interview, it would be a “wrestling match,” which Eric Bolling took exception to, opining that Hannity did nothing unfair.
Beckel remarked that Hannity was a friend of his, which is why it was ok for him to go on, since he can “make fun.”
