Chuck Todd to Rubio: If You Hate Trump So Much, Why Would You Support Him as Nominee?

During an MSNBC town hall tonight, Chuck Todd confronted Marco Rubio on why, if he considers Donald Trump an inexperienced con man who would damage the country, he would support him if he’s the Republican presidential nominee.

Todd showed clip after clip of Rubio calling Trump too volatile to be president and too liberal to be the Republican nominee, before asking him, “How can you support a con artist?”

Remember, Rubio pledged to support the GOP nominee no matter who it is. Todd bluntly asked Rubio if he regrets that.

Rubio dodged the question and talked about the Democratic candidates and how bad they are. When specifically asked about Trump, Rubio said, “I don’t want him to be our nominee.”

He warned that Trump will be “destroyed” in the general election. But again, he would support him if he’s the nominee.
