CNN’s Ana Navarro Loses it on Ed Martin: ‘I Barely Know Your Name, I Have No Idea Who You Are’
CNN’s New Day had the wise idea of inviting Ana Navarro and Ed Martin on the show Monday morning to debate the Alabama Senate race, and things got very heated between the two always dramatic contributors.
Martin, a pro-Trump contributor, launched the first attack on Navarro — who had been making the case against voting for Republican candidate and accused child molester Roy Moore – accusing her of “name calling.”
That comment did not sit well with Navarro, a former Republican strategist, who launched into a tirade against her smirky opponent.
“Almost every time you’re on with me, on TV, you make this about me — I never make it about you,” Navarro said. “Really, I barely know your name, I have no idea who you are, I never insult you.”
“Every time you’re on TV you make it about me, this is not about me,” she continued, as Martin protested “I’m not making it about you.”
“It’s your opinions, your policies,” Martin said.
“Ok let me get through my sentence will you!” Navarro shot back.
“This is not about me, it’s about decency and morality,” she said. “It’s about Republicans and Americans not compromising decency and morality for one vote.”
“Name calling, name calling, you’re name calling Ana!” Martin interjected.
“Decency and morality is name calling? No!” Navarro replied. “Yes I know you smirk and you laugh and that’s your response,” she continued, before concluding “I don’t want to hold some Hollywood producer to a higher standard than I would hold a U.S. senator or a president of the United States.”
