CNN’s Stelter Rips Lara Trump Defense of POTUS: ‘Who Thinks it’s EASY to be Prez?’

CNN’s Brian Stelter mocked Lara Trump and Fox News on Tuesday for running with the insinuation that critics attack Donald Trump because they think being president would be easy for most people besides him.

The president’s daughter-in-law was on Sean Hannity‘s show on Monday night to talk about Alec Baldwin‘s Twitter tease of running for POTUS in 2020.

Since Baldwin claimed it would be “so easy” for him to defeat the man he impersonates on Saturday Night Live, Hannity and Mrs. Trump bashed the actor on that front while also reviving an old radio confrontation between Baldwin and the Fox News host.

“Everyone thinks it’s so easy to run for president, to run this country, but it’s not that easy apparently to be a talk show host,” Mrs. Trump said. “The funny thing with him is you notice the only way he can get his name back out there is by bringing in the president. He’s obsessed with talking about President Trump because it’s the only way anybody pays attention to him.”

Enter Stelter, who took issue with how Fox News went with the “so easy” angle when they posted the interview online.
