Dem Rep.: Netanyahu Speech ‘Fear-Mongering’ Straight from ‘Cheney Playbook’

Democrats who opposed Benjamin Netanyahu‘s speech today held a press conference after Netanyahu spoke, and Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY) wasted no time in “thanking” both John Boehner and Netanyahu for the “political theater” they brought to the nation’s capital.

Like Nancy Pelosi, Yarmuth didn’t care for Netanyahu’s “condescending tone that he used which basically indicated that he didn’t think anybody in Congress or the country understood the treat that a nuclear, weaponized Iran poses.”

He said Netanyahu repeatedly mischaracterized negotiations and went so far as to say, “This speech was right out of the Dick Cheney playbook. This was fear-mongering at its ultimate.”
