‘Wait a Minute’: Fox Anchor Spars With Democrat Who Warned Each Civilian Death In Gaza Will ‘Radicalize 5 to 10’ More Palestinians

Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner sparred with former Democratic Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-PA) on Friday over the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

“There’s 100,000 people that voted uncommitted. That is a protest vote. That is a protest vote because people are upset,” Murphy began, referring to votes against President Joe Biden in the recent Michigan presidential primary.

“What’s going on in Palestine and what happened on October 7th, and let’s be very clear, Israel has an absolute right to self-defense. We have to destroy Hamas. The problem is, and this is what the protest votes were about Harris, is, that there’s innocent civilians in war that are being killed, and it breaks all of our hearts,” Murphy continued, adding:

And that’s why we need a cease-fire. And every time there’s a civilian being killed, that means you’re gonna radicalize 5 to 10 other folks. Unfortunately, I saw that in Iraq. We saw that in Afghanistan. So we got to do right by the folks who are peace-loving, innocent civilians. And we have to follow the rules of war. And that’s what Joe Biden has done. That’s what we need to continue to do.

“Wait a minute, wait a minute. Are you saying that Israel is not following the rules of war?” shot back Faulkner.

“No, I didn’t say that at all,” Murphy said as Faulkner spoke over him.

“I mean, those are those are some interesting words. If you want to debate that with Netanyahu or anybody else. The reason, the reason that I bring that up is every war, unfortunately, even the ones that we fought in innocence die. So I don’t I don’t know where you’re going with that,” Faulkner challenged.

“Well, I’m not saying that we don’t need a military solution, and it’s that we need we need to destroy Hamas. I’m not saying, but we need a political solution. And that’s why we were hoping to get a cease-fire,” Murphy replied as Faulkner turned to her other guest.
