Fox & Friends Slams Jesse Ventura: ‘Height of Cruelty to Punish’ Hero’s Widow
Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura won his defamation suit against “American Sniper” Chris Kyle yesterday, when the jury awarded him $1.8 million from Kyle’s estate. Fox & Friends ain’t happy about it.
In his book, Kyle claimed he knocked Ventura out after the politician had badmouthed the military. Kyle died before the case went to trail, but Ventura pursued the defamation suit.
“The fact that Ventura won the lawsuit and defamation, that offense should be addressed,” cohost Steve Doocy said. “But it seems like the height of cruelty to punish the guy’s wife.”
“In trying to redeem his reputation, when we have multiple sound bites, multiple quotes from Jesse Ventura, comments against our own military and this nation, to really try to preserve his integrity or reputation among the public by now claiming the victim of Chris Kyle’s wife in this lawsuit, just has everyone shocked this morning that the jury ended up ruling in favor of Ventura here,” Elisabeth Hasselbeck said. “You go after the widow of a slain military officer? He’s a hero!”
