Fox News Panel Roasts Lanny Davis, CNN Over Botched Bombshell: ‘These Aren’t Minor Points To Stumble Over’

On Monday night, a Fox News panel piled on CNN’s bombshell report regarding President Donald Trump having knowledge of the infamous Trump Tower meeting.

Last month, CNN as well as The Washington Post reported that Michael Cohen alleged the president knew about the meeting that took place during the election between his son Donald Trump Jr. and the Russian lawyer who supposedly had dirt on Hillary Clinton, something he denied knowing about in advance.

However, Cohen’s lawyer Lanny Davis refuted CNN’s report, insisting his client didn’t know whether or not Trump knew about the meeting.

And now, Buzzfeed reported that Davis admitted that he himself was the anonymous source CNN relied on for its report.

The WaPo has updated its story while CNN is standing by its original reporting.

Well, Fox News has quite the reaction to these developments.

“These are not minor points to stumble over,” Fox News anchor Shannon Bream began the panel.

“No, they definitely aren’t, especially judging by how excited everyone on my side of the aisle got when we heard that Michael Cohen had knowledge that President Trump knew about the Trump Tower meeting and had given the sign off here,” Democratic strategist Jessica Tarlov reacted. “I think it’s gonna become increasingly difficult for CNN to continue to dig in their heels on this one, especially with the retraction of The Washington Post and I believe The New York Post has updated their story as well.”

Charlie Hurt of The Washington Times called Cohen a “worse witness now” than he was before and that “Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers” had a bad week since neither the Paul Manafort conviction or Cohen’s guilty plea will lead to Trump’s impeachment.
