Geraldo: ‘I’m a Republican,’ NAACP Is Just a Democratic Satellite

Geraldo Rivera is a life-long Republican and a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) who thinks the civil rights organization has become a satellite of the Democratic Party.

The Fox reporter appeared Friday on Fox & Friends to give his take on the NAACP’s lack of congratulations for newly-elected black Republicans Sen. Tim Scott and Rep. Mia Love. Declaring himself a dedicated GOP member who believes in pulling oneself up by the bootstraps, Rivera agreed with Steve Doocy that the NAACP has become a “victim” organization, seemingly operating only in the interest of the Democrats.

And, yes, Rivera fancies himself a Republican. When he threatened to run for the Senate in 2013, he was going to do so as a member of the Grand Old Party.
