Geraldo Scolds Kilmeade: ‘Filled with Embarrassment and Humiliation’ That You Criticized Pope

Geraldo Rivera called out and scolded Fox’s Brian Kilmeade this morning for saying this week Pope Francis is in the “wrong country” and should stay home.

Kilmeade, himself a Catholic, said that some of what the Pope has been saying about capitalism and climate change and how he “blames” America. When told those comments will probably get him in trouble, Kilmeade said, “Bring it on.”

Well, on Fox & Friends this morning, Rivera brought it, telling Kilmeade “I am filled with embarrassment and humiliation that my beloved Brian Kilmeade actually suggested last week that the pope was in the wrong country.”

He told Kilmeade he shouldn’t be so hard on the Pope, but Kilmeade insisted that the pontiff is wasting an opportunity to speak out against nations “beheading Christians.”

Rivera countered that the job of the Pope is to be a “healer” and bring people together.
