Geraldo Scolds ‘Women’s Movement’ for Blaming Lewinsky in Clinton Affair
Appearing on Fox & Friends on Wednesday, Fox News Channel host Geraldo Rivera discussed how, if at all, the reemergence of Monica Lewinsky will impact the 2016 election. Rivera noted that the feminist movement did back Hillary Clinton in the 1990s and they should reassess why they took Clinton’s side over Lewinsky’s.
“Could women, could the Clintons – Hillary Clinton – maybe assume that there are a bunch of women that feel exactly like she does?” Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked. “Could this actually bode well for her in 2016 if she was on the ticket?”

Rivera said that Clinton did benefit from sympathy from women in the 1990s and that Lewinsky noted with “great bitterness” in her recent Vanity Fair interview how she was blamed by the women’s movement for her role in the affair with President Bill Clinton.
“I think the women’s movement really has to assess its own performance during that trauma,” he said.
