Glenn Beck And Eliot Spitzer Set For Televised Debate On Dish Network

Satellite television provider Dish announced Thursday during a boxing-themed event that TheBlaze host Glenn Beck and Current TV host Eliot Spitzer will be featured in live debate on October 2nd in Denver, on the evening before the first real presidential debate.

Dish Network now includes Beck’s network as part of an exclusive deal, and has already carried Current TV. The provider will begin offering each network individually for $5 a month later this month.

The featured debate, dubbed the “War of the Words,” will stream on Facebook and on Dish’s channel 102.

The announcement event featured boxing-style mock weigh-ins with each debater making brief remarks about their beliefs instead of stepping before a scale.

To cap off the boxing kitsch, at the beginning of the event famed announcer Michael Buffer reportedly recited his famous line: “Let’s get ready to rumble!”
