Hannity Appears to Swipe at News Side of Fox For Russia Coverage: ‘Many’ At Network ‘Advocating For Truth’
Sean Hannity took some time out of his fiery Monday night monologue lambasting the speculation President Donald Trump colluded with Russia — “total B.S.” — to pat his Fox News colleagues on the back for their coverage of the Mueller probe.
“The hysteria on the left was widespread,” Hannity said in his breathless victory lap. “If not for talk radio — thank god for Rush [Limbaugh], Mark [Levin], my colleagues here, many of them at the Fox News Channel like Tucker [Carlson], Laura [Ingraham], Lou Dobbs on our sister station, Fox & Friends, a few others brave, logical independent thinkers standing alone.”
“There would have been no one out there advocating for the truth, discovering the biggest abuse of power scandal in our history,” he said. “Nobody.”
Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s report was submitted to Attorney General William Barr over the weekend, who delivered a four-page summary of its findings to Congress. According to that summary, Mueller’s report cleared Trump and his campaign on any collusion with Russia but did not make a determination on obstruction. Barr concluded, after reviewing Mueller’s report, that there wasn’t enough evidence Trump committed an obstruction offense.
Hannity’s applauding his fellow crusaders against the Mueller probe and its supports on the left came during a heated monologue in which he blasted the media for its coverage of the probe, insisting he’s not pleased with the outcome: “You should be angry at what has happened here. All of America — I am pissed off and so should the rest of the country be over what has happened.”
