John Bolton: Trump Looked ‘VERY Tired’ Next to Putin

Former National Security Advisor John Bolton said on CNN’s Erin Burnett Outfront that President Donald Trump looked ‘VERY tired’ next to Russian President Vladimir Putin at their joint press conference.

On Friday, Trump and Putin appeared before reporters after their meeting at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska on Friday afternoon, with Trump indicating they did not reach a deal on a ceasefire in Ukraine.

About the presser, Bolton, also the former ambassador to the United Nations, said that “Trump did not lose, but Putin clearly won.”

“Trump didn’t come away with anything except more meetings,” he told CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

“[Putin] has escaped sanctions. He’s not facing a ceasefire,” Bolton continued. “I’d say Putin achieved most of what he wanted. Trump achieved very little. And I will say one other thing. I thought Trump looked very tired up there. I mean, very tired. Not disappointed. Tired.”

“We didn’t get there, but we have a very good chance of getting there,” said Trump at the short presser, before suggesting that they would “hopefully” be meeting again soon.

Trump is additionally facing criticism for his warm reception of the Russian President on U.S. soil, with Cooper remarking on-air earlier today that he “literally rolled out the red carpet.”
