Kid Rock Says Bill Maher Brought Up Third Term Concerns During Trump Meeting: ‘It Really Freaks Bill Out’

Kid Rock revealed that Bill Maher brought up concerns over President Donald Trump seeking a third term during his recent visit to the White House.

Maher met with Trump at the White House, along with UFC head Dana White, for dinner in a meeting brokered by Rock. The musician said the president and his vocal comedian critic kept things mostly focused on topics they agreed on like ending “wokeness” and securing the southern border. Trump also asked Maher for his thoughts on the administration’s Israel and Iran policies.

Rock told Fox News’ Sean Hannity this week that Maher also brought up his concerns about the president’s repeated teases about seeking a third term in office.

The president said on Sunday that “a lot of people” would like him to run again and claimed there are “methods” by which he could do it despite being limited by two term limits. Such talk has led to some bipartisan pushback. Trump even teased former President Barack Obama running for a third term against him.

Kid Rock told Hannity that Maher and Trump discussed the talk of a third term, but kept the details of their exchange private.

“It really freaks out Bill when the president’s, when people are talking about a third term, this, that and the other. He brought that up and the president — they talked about it a little bit. That was something I would consider private. I feel uncomfortable sharing that. If the president wanted to, he could,” the musician said.

Kid Rock predicted that Maher will go on to say “nice things” about the president in their meeting, though he stopped short of saying Trump turned the comedian from critic to supporter.

“If they can do it, maybe that family member you have with the you disagree with, it’s divided you politically or that someone you know social standing with a neighbor or somebody maybe you can, you know, go back and be like, hey man, let’s have dinner and talk about what we do have in common,” he said.

Check out the exchange below:

SEAN HANNITY: He goes on his show. Is he going to say, I really like this guy. We had a really good conversation. We had a meeting of the minds. Were there any points that they disagreed? What is he going to say?

KID ROCK: I believe he is going to go on his show and say nice things. I think he’s going to say that we still don’t agree politically. You know, it really freaks out Bill when the president’s, when people are talking about a third term, this, that, and the other. He brought that up and the president, you know, they talked about it a little bit. That was something that I would consider private. I feel uncomfortable sharing that. If the president wanted to, he could. But, you know, we basically stuck to things that we agreed on. And they both have an extremely deep knowledge of American history, both very smart guys and, you know, very reasonable people, even though they’ve had this, you know, pretty harsh relationship. It was just, it was a cool. I’m like, if they can do it, maybe that family member you have with the you disagree with, it’s divided you politically or that someone you know social standing with a neighbor or somebody maybe you can, you know, go back and be like, hey man, let’s have dinner and talk about what we do have in common.
