Ladies of The View Claim Trump Is ‘Afraid’ of Elon Musk as Tesla Boss Tears Into Big Beautiful Bill

It’s a View to a bill.

The ladies of The View took a strong stance on President Donald Trump’s relationship with Elon Musk, with Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar agreeing the commander in chief is “afraid” of the Tesla billionaire.

During a discussion of Musk’s fervent opposition to the so-called big beautiful bill, the panelists took turns speculating how Musk could derail Trump’s legislative agenda.

“Trump should be afraid of him,” Behar said.

Goldberg concurred, saying “I think he is afraid of him.”

“He has receipts on the election, too,” Behar added.

“I think he is afraid of him,” Goldberg said again.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: But I’ll say this, this is where it gets interesting, two things: Elon Musk basically could tank Donald Trump’s entire legislative agenda. This big beautiful bill, it has energy, it has border security, it has extending his tax cuts in it. If Republicans decide, “Ooh, we don’t want to get on the wrong side of Elon,” that is what Donald Trump is banking it all on and that’s kind of devastating for his administration. On the flip side, those Republicans, if you’re in a house district, you’re like, “I’m afraid of Donald Trump, but Elon Musk, because of the dark money system we live in, can come in and primary you by pouring millions into your race.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Oh, and then that if one was going to think, you know, “Ooh, maybe this happened.” You know, Elon knows the 411 on everything.

SUNNY HOSTIN: Yeah, he got all that information.

GOLDBERG: He knows how all this came down, so now suddenly he’s like, “Harrumph. So angry!”[ Laughter ]

JOY BEHAR: Trump should be afraid of him.

GOLDBERG: I think Trump is afraid of him.

BEHAR: He has receipts on the election, too.

GOLDBERG: I think he is afraid of him.

The remarks came a day after Musk shredded Trump’s landmark tax and budget bill on his X platform, calling it a “disgusting abomination.”

The billionaire later called on American voters to “fire” any lawmaker who votes in favor of it.
