Michael Cohen Dismisses Trump Trashing Him as a ‘Low Life’: This Guy Had ‘Multiple Affairs While His Wife Had Just Had a Child’
Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen appeared on MSNBC Wednesday night and reacted to the ex-president attacking him as a “lying discredited low life.”
On Tuesday night, the New York attorney general’s office said in a statement, “We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the Organization is no longer purely civil in nature. We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA. We have no additional comment.”
Donald Trump decried the investigation in a lengthy, angry statement, that included this shot at Cohen: “The District Attorney’s office has been going after me for years based on a lying, discredited low life, who was not listened to or given credibility by other prosecutorial offices, and sentenced to 3 years in prison for lying and other events unrelated to me.”
Joy Reid asked Cohen for his response to Trump’s attack, and Cohen started to shrug it off.
But then the former Trump lawyer took a swipe at the former president for his past affairs (which led to a scandal Cohen himself was a significant part of before ultimately turning on Trump) and some of Trump’s policies in office:
This is a guy who has an affair, actually multiple affairs, while his wife had just had a child. The Child Separation Act, which was just a disgrace and just denigrated America’s standing in the world. His attacking on President Obama’s Affordable Care Act, leaving millions of Americans without health coverage. His racist rants, which we know are just every day, including the fact that he couldn’t even mention George Floyd’s name at any point in time. And finally, January 6th, the big lie, and his continuous promotion of the big lie.
He went on to say the Trump Organization is “a glorified mom and pop company.”
Cohen also made a point of going back to mocking Trump’s “petty, pathetic temper tantrums.”
“The great thing is he’s no longer on Twitter. So I didn’t even know about this denigration of me until your producers called to tell me about it!”
