O’Reilly Insists He’s Plenty Tough on Trump: I’m ‘Demonized’ for Treating Him Fairly

billBill O’Reilly tonight took great personal offense at suggestions he has not been tough enough on Donald Trump. Jorge Ramos confronted him on this very issue last night, and O’Reilly has received plenty of viewer emails about how soft he is on The Donald.

O’Reilly pointed to how he has, in fact, called Trump out to his face about how 1) Mexico won’t pay for the wall, 2) his comments about Muslims are pretty troubling and alienating on the world stage, and 3) his “mudslinging will not make America great again.”

He declared that his show is a “tough forum” for Trump.

As for Trump’s many, many, many insane comments on the campaign trail, O’Reilly dismissively said, “I’m not in the nitpicking business. Trump and every other politician misspeak at times.”

He boldly declared, “We will be demonized and attacked by those who despise Trump… I don’t care!”
