Tapper: Why Did WH Invite 9/11 Truther Macklemore After Waging ‘War’ on Birthers?

Sometimes celebrities can help shine a spotlight on serious issues. Perhaps that’s why the White House has brought in Macklemore to help talk about opioids. But there’s just one teensy tiny problem.

Macklemore is a 9/11 truther:

This week saw the release of an MTV documentary featuring President Obama and Macklemore discussing the opioid epidemic.

Which really bothered CNN’s Jake Tapper today:

“Is it acceptable––I say in the most leading question ever––for the White House, which has a war against birthers, and rightly so, to have a truther come to the White House?”

And in case his feelings weren’t clear enough:

@kctww @maggieNYT there's plenty more idiocy from him but the point is should a WH angry about birther lie not care about truther lie?
